Once youve removed the entire exhaust system including the ypipe you can start putting the headers in...in my case i had to cut where the ypipe and borla were welded together I just used a sawsaw make sure if your doign this you dont cut too much off so you can get the ypipe to slip fit. |
Heres where the fun begins I used a sawsaw and cut off the casting flash..as you can see here...took about 2 minutes with a sawsaw and would take longer using a diegrinder or dremel...trust me i tried :) |
I took out the last 3 plugs to get the header up in place and a little force but it really wasnt too bad at that point i decided to completely finish up the one side I had made restrictor plates for the air previously so that step was already done...do a search on how to make them...put all the plugs back in and connected the wires. |
This tool is pretty much mandatory for this header install its a 10mm gear wrench I picked up mine at ACE for about $10 but loews and sears also sells them but sears is way overpriced. I dont think theres a better way to get to the back header bolts than this and patience. |
Once again sawsaw to the rescue i forgot I had to clearance the kmember a bit so went back after the headers were already in and cut away a bit then just bent the portion back using a hammer and screwdriver...you might want to clearance it more than i did but hey whatever :) |
