AVAILABLE DOGS
     Sanctuary Dogs
Dogs on this page are not available for adoption, but are permanent residents of the sanctuary for various reasons. Some reside here due to health issues, age, or for some it was a matter of  coming from backgrounds which made it safer for them to stay here in an environment they trust.
We are in need of
Sponsors for these dogs to help defer the costs of annual vet care, specific medical needs, dogfood, toys, and blankets.
If you cannot adopt at this time, please consider the
sponsorship option.
Monte - 6 year old Rottie who came from a serious neglect situation. After months of antibiotics and care, his severly infected face healed up well and all the hair has grown back. He has turned into a beautiful boy! At 160 lbs, he is now having trouble with his back legs and is in need of x-rays and ongoing care.
He has learned to trust us and is one of favorites here. He is all heart!
Rocky - 3 year old Rottweiler . He has an awesome personality, but due to his extremely high prey drive, it makes him hard to place. He wants to "chase " cars, airplanes, etc. Not everyone knows how, or is willing to deal with his quirks. He does very well here, but did not do so well in the last home we placed him in. We will work with him, and MAY be available in the future to the perfect home, but for now he is considered a resident.
We think he is a beautiful boy , strong in body and spirit.

Max- 10 year old Rottweiler whose young owner could no longer keep him due to an emergency in the family. Both dog and owner were devastated. Max mourned for weeks. We feel at his age, we will not uproot him again and the best place for him now is right here where he has settled in. Max is a good boy who makes his daily walks around the yard to check everything out and loves to lay in the freshly fallen snow.
Chico- 1.5 year old Rottweiler . Great dog with a ton of love to give! Unfortunately, due to his breed and a taunting neighbor, he had to be taken out of his county of residence. He has to remain a permanant member of our sanctuary.
He loves belly rubs and chasing a ball ! He's a big ole baby!
