COMMENTS
The King class battleships were one of the United Kingdom's contributions to
the UN capital ship program during the early years of the Interstellar War era.
With moderate acceleration, but lots of armor and a spinal mount particle
accelerator weapon, it was a significant opponent against other moderate
speed vessels. The inclusion of missile and plasma bays and a laser battery
gives this battleship a wide variety of offensive options. Five sand batteries
and high armor give plenty of defence against most opposition ships. As is
common on fighting vessels, the quarters are somewhat cramped, with all
except the command level crew being two to a stateroom. There are ten
staterooms set aside for an admiral and their staff. The King class battleships
are named for kings in UK history, with examples including all the Georges and
Henrys among others.
