FreeWall & Me

For the record, FreeWall is my best friend, whether or not he likes it. He's the boyfriend I never had. He's the son I never will have. He may not look like much---maybe not be Craig McCracken, Darby Connely work, but he's mine and he's me.

We're both terribly cynical, although from this site you may not see this, but if you read one of our conversations, you would understand. I only wish that someday he might be a tv star so you can see him and know him better, man, to quote Dickens vaguely.
Another thing we have in common is our ankles, or lack of. Neither of us have these wonderful appendiges, although I must say that he has it a bit worse. My ankles are just too thick to be totally authentic ankles. So I wear Chuck Taylors. I'm not really sure what FreeWall wears...they look like cleats or something. Ha. They don't seem to help.

So, we've been together for about...5 years...and considering my age (look at my bio if you must know.) that's a long time. Our pessimistic natures seem to just fit, and I'll keep him as long as he'll have me.

As for the name FreeWall...I was at a youth group and there was some kid who was just bouncing off the walls, and the pastor kept yelling, "Freewall!" and I dunno. It just kinda stuck. So know that somewhere there is a real FreeWall running around.
Jimmy, whose full title is "Jimmy the Hyperactive Icecream Man" is based off of this really really happy icecream man I ran across in Dallas. The man was a total spaz. It was creepy. I felt like I was in some really bad episode of Seinfeld. The Icecream Nazi on laughing gas. Ha.
Marshall, I have discovered, looks somewhat like my old computer teacher in high school. That wouldn't be so bad except my computer teacher was a woman. Her hair was blonde, not red, but she wore big glasses and she was totally nuts when she wanted to be. Marshall is proud to be the male Ms. Lend.
