Heathers (THX Version) I really liked this dark comedy when I first saw it, I understood it to be high school in the extreme, but in the light of Columbine, etc, some of the violence may strike some nerves. The Lion in Winter Perhaps the best dialog I've seen in a film. You've got to pay attention to the nuances in the movie but the performances by all involved make it very worth it. Die Hard - Five Star Collection I just really liked this movie, it was highly entertaining. I think it may be my favorite action film. To this day when I see the building featured in the film, I'll think, "there's the Nakitomi building." The Joy Luck Club Ok, it's a "chick flick" but I'm a "chick" so sue me. The way this story is told through the mothers and daughters makes this film very accessible and takes you through different viewpoints while showing you a bit of history. Pi Very intriguing film that's a refreshing break from big budget films. Being a sometime-migraine sufferer myself, I could truly relate to some scenes. If you like films where everything falls neatly into place, dont' bother with this one. The Sixth Sense Alot of people liked this film. I'll join that bandwagon. I put it in my list because it's a great film but also because at the time of its release it was such a relief from the "same old same old" stuff out around that time. Fargo Another one of my favorite, dark films. I love the juxtaposition of things in the film. The fact it was based on a real incident adds a ghastly light to it as well.
