| Friends of Lakeway is a community based support group for the Mildred C. Lakeway Elementary School. In March of 1998 a small but energetic group of parents got together to form what would become Friends of Lakeway. The mission of the group was identified and is to support the staff of Lakeway in their efforts to provide our children with a top-notch educational experience and enhance the relationship between the school and the community. Our goals included growing the pool of volunteers for the school, including actively reaching out to families of the students and interested community members. We generate a monthly newsletter to better communicate all the news from the school. You'll find our many other accomplishments as you browse these "Friends of Lakeway" pages. |
| Friends of Lakeway's mission is to establish a comfortable bond between parents, community members and schools, in order to encourage involvement in education. We have dedicated ourselves to providing a positive reinforcement to Lakeway. |
