     What is Friends of Lakeway?
Friends of Lakeway's mission is to establish a comfortable bond between parents, community members and school, in order to encourage involvement in education.

    
What has Friends of Lakeway done?
Some of Friends of lakeway's accomplisments are:  
      ~ Organizing spring and fall fundraisers
      ~  Collect and organize BoxTops for Education campaigns
      ~ Opened the Leopard's Locker store to encourage school spirit
      ~ Coordinate the Children's After School Enrichment Program each spring and fall
      ~ Provide a .50 popcorn snack each Friday
      ~ Participate in National Educational Week
      ~ Help coordinate volunteers
      ~ Support the Winter Program that Lakeway offers
      ~ Recycling Committee Liason
      ~ Acknowledge Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
      ~ Built the School Sign
      ~ Fulfill teachers requests at meetings
      ~ Supplied school with a Die Cut Machine


    I work during the day, what can I do to help?
There are many things a volunteer can do at home or after school hours. 
~ Teachers have cutting, stapling or folding projects, which can be done at home in
     front of the t.v. 
~ For American Education Week, Staff Christmas Luncheon and Staff Appreciation
     Week Friends of Lakeway ask for baked goods.  
~ Dr. Verville sometimes organizes fun family evenings at school which she requests
     volunteers to help on those evenings. 
~ Friends of Lakeway meets every other Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the Staff Room to
     decide on important issues.  Your attendance can make a difference.
