You may be a bit confused. The pictures show a dog, but why does the title say Tigercat???? Well, here's the story. When my son, Jalen, was very young (approximately 1year old) we read a book with a cat named Tigercat. When the book was finished he told me that if he ever got an animal he would name it Tigercat. 3 years had passed since that day. My wife was at work and some people there took in a dog that was neglected. Without telling me she brought the dog home. I guess I need to backtrack a little. My wife and I had many talks about having a dog and decided against it since we were living in an apartment at the time. Well, now she brought one home and to my surprise, I was seemingly the only one who didn't know about it before hand. She had already spoken to the apartment manager and some friends. What am I supposed to do at this point?? Of course we kept her. That evening we tried to come up with a name. You see, the kids were asleep when she got home and they didn't know about it. We couldn't come up with a name. I can't remember if it was later that night or in the morning when my son first saw the dog, but I was amazed when he said "It's Tigercat!". He had remembered the name all these years. It was especially amazing that he hadn't said word about the name Tigercat since he was 1 yr. old!! Now at this point what can I do? Jalen had it in his heart all these years to name this animal Tigercat and so.......... Here's Tigercat: |
