I haven't added much lately because we have been very busy as life begins to get back to something resembling normal.  :-)  Magnum is doing very well and is getting harder and harder to keep confined.

The kids spent the night with Monica this past Friday night and that left hubby and me to do all the critter duty.  Usually Kurt is downstairs (that's where his room is) and he hears Magnum first, in the morning.  He gets up and gives him breakfast and *tries* to get Erica up to take him out to potty.

I figured when Magnum got up he would bark and get me up.  I woke up Saturday morning to whining that sounded very close by, but I figured it couldn't be close because Magnum was downstairs.  I sat up and Magnum was NOT downstairs, he was UPSTAIRS in our room, on the linoleum whining at me to get up and get his breakfast!  I didn't yell at him because i didn't want him scrambling around on that linoleum and doing the splits and undoing all the healing he's had over the last 2 months.  I did say Magnum, what are you doing up here, and he turned around and went back downstairs.

When I got down there, he was running around the living room and jumping, so I had to calm him down and put him back in his "recovery room" while I got his breakfast.  Hubby came down to help get everybody outside to potty.  After his breakfast and potty break, I went over to his area and laid down on the couch so I could keep an eye on him.  I found a  bone that I had taken away the night before and put in Kurt's room.  Apparantly, he had explored the house while he was out.  He ate the little dogs' food and found their bone and took it to his "room".

He's a very vocal dog.  Sometimes he will let out these long deep moans and lay down next to me, like he's saying, I'm just so bored, I can't stand it!   I don't think I've ever seen such a vocal dog (besides barking).

Today is Tuesday and Thursday we go for our, hopefully, last set of x-rays.  Someone else on the orthodogs list just went in for what they thought was their last set of x-rays and they found out they have to go back in 6 weeks and no walks yet.  Four more weeks of confinement for them.  :-(  But the vet did say all was going well.

The past couple of weeks have been cool here, especially for this time of year.  We have been in the 50s and rainy.  It is supposed to warm up by the weekend and be in the 70s.  I'm *hoping* to be able to take Magnum to the lake this weekend.  Erica is going to AWANA scholarship camp Saturday and coming back next Saturday but Kurt will be here to help with critters.  He goes to camp next month.
