Magnum can be a rather persistent dog.  My daughter came over Monday.  It was *supposed* to be Magnum's off day but for some reason, he got it in his head that he was going swimming.  We put him in his crate for a while until he calmed down.  As soon as we opened the crate he ran out and started jumping around and running back and forth, barking and whining.   Finally, I was afraid he would do himself more harm with all his antics than he would with 10 minutes of swimming.  So, I told the kids to take him down to the lake.  Monica was supervising the project.  Erica had the leash. BIG mistake.  Magnum pulled too hard and from where the road ends and the grass begins, he got loose and took off like a shot down the rest of the path and into the lake.  I'm just glad I didn't see that.  They let him swim for his 10 mintues and brought him back home.  Then he was a happy dog.

Today he seemed to be doing quite well.  I haven't noticed any more limping than usual.  I'm a little surprised after his stunt yesterday.

The Clavamox seems to be helping his chin acne and ears.  His eyes looked a bit red to me today but they are not goopy anymore, so I guess it is helping them too.

He has been going up and down the stairs more lately.  It doesn't seem to bother him.  When he is off the leg, I keep him off the stairs.
