The Bible teaches that repentance and faith are granted to the sinner by the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. When God wants to save a person, He draws them to Him.
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44)
Salvation is a gift of God.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Once you have repented of your sinfulness and trusted Christ as your personal Savior, you are saved!
No bright light; no lightning from the sky; just the assurance that you have put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ to save you.
Now, what you need to do is publicly confess Him before others and present yourself for scriptural baptism in a New Testament Baptist Church
as an act of obedience and identification with Christ.
