CHAPTER 18: From Jaymz to Sarah...

"Leshangel, wake up," she heard someone call from a distance.

"Leave me alone," she groaned, desperately hanging to the last thread she had on sleep.

"Come on sweetie. Kevin's being grumpy."

"Don't care. I'm sleepy." Nick shook his head and smiled softly. As annoying as she was being, she was still adorable.

Alesha sat straight up as a door slammed in the other room. "What the fuck?!" she said loudly. Looking over, wondering why her bed was moving, she seen Nick laughing uncontrollably. "I'm glad to see you too," she said getting up and walking in the front room. "What the HELL is going on?" she asked looking from Lori to Kevin and back.

The corners of Kevin's lips were twitching as he tried to hide a smile. Lori, on the other hand, was quite freely expressing her amusement by giggling madly. "I'm glad to see that I've provided you with your daily dose of entertainment. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get ready," she grumbled and walked back to her room scowling.

Nick had managed to gain control of himself after she had left, but when Alesha walked back in the room, he was overcome again. "If I didn't love you, I'd smack you," she said glaring at him. She grabbed some clothes and went to take a shower. Thirty minutes later, she was dressed and ready to go.

Alesha walked in the front room to see that Nick had discovered her Playstation and was playing Tekken. Her S&M Metallica CD was playing loudly on the stereo as well. Kevin and Lori were going through one of her picture albums. It was Alesha's "Concert Album", with various photos from the different concerts she had attended. Shaking her head, Alesha went into the kitchen and poured herself some juice. She walked back in the front room and Nick pulled her over and onto his lap. He handed her a controller and they began dueling it out on Tekken.

"Hey Nick. Here's a picture of James Hetfield. Autographed, even," Kevin said.

"Where?" he asked looking over. Alesha sat her controller down and leaned over and took the book from Kevin to show Nick. Nick picked up her glass of juice and took a big drink. Making a face and sitting the glass back down he asked, "What the hell is that?"

Alesha looked at him and laughed. "*MY* juice. Hehe. Orange juice and white grapefruit juice with ginger ale."

He looked at her funny and shook his head. "So, where is he?"

Alesha showed him the picture from the Metallica concert she had attended at West Palm Beach the summer before. She had gotten to go up front and snap a picture of him, and they even let her go backstage for a brief meet and greet. "That man," Alesha said pointing at James, "is a GOD."

Nick pouted at her. "Thought I was."

Lori looked at her. "Thought Howie was."

Alesha laughed. "Jaymz is THE GOD. Howie is a god of ultimate perfection. And you my Nickums...well, I can't say what you're a god of," she said with a wink.

Kevin looked at Lori and asked, "How does she go from bitch to angel in like 2 seconds?"

Lori laughed. "Been trying to figure that out for years."

"So are we ready to go?" Kevin asked standing up and helping Lori to her feet.

"Yup," Nick said as Alesha stood up, reaching for her juice. She went to take a drink, but realized that the glass was empty.

Looking at Nick and shaking her head, she took the glass in the kitchen and said, "Yuppers indeedy."

"So where exactly are we going?" Lori asked as they all got into Kevin's 4-Runner.

"Ever been to Universal?" Kevin asked her smiling.

"No. My first time down here," she answered.

"Well, then, this should be an experience," Kevin grinned. He glanced down at his CD holder that she was playing with, "You can pick whatever you want."

Lori smiled and flipped through the pages, stopping in shock at the last page. "Sarah McLachlin?" she exclaimed. "You like Sarah?" He looked at her wondering if she was poking fun or being serious. He shrugged and nodded.

"Oh gawd." Alesha groaned. "Not her."

"Shut up Lesh," Lori said smiling. Looking at Kevin she said, "I love Sarah." She put in the CD and sang along.

Alesha cried from the back, "Make it stop. The torture, the pain, the agony. Ungh. Evil, evil woman."

"Here baby. I'll protect you from the nasty music," Nick said wrapping his arms around her.

Kevin glanced back at them and then at Lori, "What's wrong with her?"

Lori laughed, "She lived with me for 2 years. And I love Sarah."

"It's cruel and unusual punishment." Alesha pouted. "Just remember who you're staying with while you're here."
