"Who's that?" Lori leaned over and asked Leighanne, looking at the girl being escorted to their section.
Leighanne looked over and then covered her mouth as a surprised "OH!" escaped. She glanced quickly over at Alesha who was talking to a little girl that happened to be a HUGE Nick fan. Cringing, she turned back to Lori and whispered, "Sarah."
"Excuse me, but you're in my seat," the girl said looking down her nose at Lori.
"Sarah, what are you doing here?" Leighanne asked, holding Lori's arm so she didn't move.
"I came here to see my boy perform, duh!" she said flipping her long hair over her shoulder.
"Ohmigawd! You're Sarah Allen," the little girl talking to Alesha squealed. "I absolutely LOVE Nicky. He is sooo cute. He is just the most adorable angel. If I ever getta meet him, I'm gonna give him a big kiss. That girl," she pointed to Alesha, "likes him too, although she says he has a big nose."
Sarah rolled her eyes. "His name is Nick, not Nicky. And you're never gonna getta meet him, so don't worry about that. And as far as her," she said looking over at Alesha. "Nick wouldn't even look twice at her."
The little girls eyes filled with tears and she turned and started walking slowly away. Alesha ran over to her, putting her arm around her and said, "I'm sorry sweetie. Don't listen to her. I know that one day you will get to give your angel that kiss."
The little girl looked up at Alesha, tears shining brightly in her eyes. "Really?" she asked quietly.
Alesha nodded and smiled. "Where ya sitting at darlin'?" The little girl gave her the section and seat number. "What's your name?"
"Meghan."
"I'll see you later, Meghan," Alesha said giving her a hug and walking back over to her seat. Before she sat down, she looked at Sarah, her green eyes flashing. "I don't know who the FUCK you think you are, but you'd better NEVER do something like that again when I'm around. Those are Nick's fans. Something that he and the other guys have worked very hard to obtain. And they don't need you turning them away by being a bitch to them."
Sarah blinked in shock. Recovering somewhat, she managed to stammer, "I'm Sarah. I'm…Nick's…girlfriend."
Leighanne turned towards Sarah and said, "No. That's Nick's girlfriend," she pointed at Alesha. "You are a parasite that needs to find a new victim."
Sarah laughed. "THAT'S Nick's girlfriend?"
"Excuse me, I have to go find Nick," Alesha said pushing past Sarah.
"Don't YOU feel stupid," Leighanne said.
"No. I feel better. At least I know I have no competition."
Lori laughed and murmured, "You don't know Alesha very well."
Suddenly, Leighanne's cell phone started ringing. "Hello? >pause< Oh! Kay >pausepause< Cool. Where? >pausepausepause< Yeah. >pause< Got it. >pause< Bye," she said clicking the phone shut. She leaned over and whispered something to Lori. They giggled and settled back in their seats as the show started. Sarah looked over at them glaring.
As the second opening act finished their set, Alesha slipped into the seat next to Leighanne. She looked over at Alesha and smiled, "Everything set?"
Alesha nodded and grinned. "Yup. As soon as 'Quit Playing Games' starts, the ball will begin rolling." As if on cue, the lights went out and the theme to 'Star Wars' began.
As the Boys entered on their lighted skateboards, Kevin glanced over at Lori. He raised his eyebrows, shrugged and winked. Lori started laughing, which caused Kevin to start chuckling. He tried desperately to control it, but looking over at Nick who was tangled up in the cables of his board, he lost it. This got the audience rolling, causing Nick to get seriously embarrassed.
Nick was finally unhooked and they jumped right into 'Larger Than Life', followed by 'Get Down'. As they began 'The One', Lori groaned. "I HATE this song."
Leighanne laughed. "So did I until I seen them perform it live." Just as she said that, Brian pointed at her and sang.
o~/You need me/Like I need you/We can share our dreams coming true/I can show you what true love means/Just take my hand/Baby please/~o
"I hate it when he does that," she grumbled, embarrassed.
Nick began 'As Long As You Love Me', singing to a little girl on the opposite side of the stage. Brian was acting as goofy as he usually did. AJ and Howie were kidding around and flirting. Kevin was on Nick's side being…Kevin.
They sang through 'Don't Want To Lose You Know' and began 'Quit Playing Games'. Alesha slipped out of her seat and headed over to Meghan's section. Seeing Alesha, Meghan smiled and waved. "Hey Meghan, I have a surprise for you." Looking at the older lady that was with Meghan, Alesha smiled and mouthed, "I'm with Nick." And pointed towards the stage.
Nodding, the woman apparently Meghan's mother, smiled. "Go on sweetie."
Alesha took a very confused Meghan back to her seat with her. They got back just as 'Don't Want You Back' started. Leighanne smiled down at Meghan and pointed up on stage. Nick was standing there and he waved at her. Meghan waved back excitedly. Nick stayed on their side the whole time, paying special attention to Meghan, but directing the words of the song elsewhere.
Before the song ended, one of the security guys took Alesha and Meghan over to where a group of girls and their moms stood. The group was escorted on stage, and Nick walked over to Meghan kissing her on the cheek. "Hey sweetie," he whispered as the guys began singing 'The Perfect Fan'. Being that Nick didn't have much to sing during this song, he made sure Meghan was the center of his attention. When the song ended, they guys all left the stage to do a costume change. They took a group picture with Meghan and then Kevin headed back to the stage to do his solo introduction to 'Back To Your Heart'. Nick took a couple of more pictures with Meghan, who insisted that Alesha be in at least one of them. He also signed the tag of a stuffed bear and gave it to her.
Alesha looked at Meghan and smiled. "Don't you have something for him?"
Meghan looked at her, eyes wide, and then looked at Nick. She walked over to him and hugged him tightly and kissed him on the cheek. She then handed him a small box. Nick opened it. He smiled and hugged Meghan. "Thank you darlin'," he said. Taking the stuffed Yoshi out of the box, he handed it to Alesha. "I'm going to let her hold it for me, if that's okay." Meghan nodded. He hugged her again, winked at Alesha and then ran off, back to the stage.
As the Boys sang the medley of 'Everybody', 'We've Got It Going On', and 'That's the Way I Like It', Alesha and Meghan headed back towards her seat. They walked past Leighanne and Lori who waved and smiled. When they walked past Sarah, she glared and whispered, "Bitch." Alesha shot her a look, and kept walking.
Meghan's mom gave her a hug when they got back to Meghan's seat. "Thank you. Nick is a very lucky young man to have such a wonderfully sweet girl."
She smiled and hugged Meghan. "Told you that you'd get to give your Nicky angel that kiss, did I?"
Meghan smiled and nodded. "Thank you so much." She hugged Alesha again and whispered, "He does have a big nose." She giggled quietly.
Alesha laughed and said goodbye, walking back to her seat as 'Spanish Eyes' was ending and they started singing 'I'll Never Break Your Heart'. She gave the thumbs up sign to Leighanne and Lori as she settled back in her seat. Nick smiled over at her and winked.
The Boys sang 'No One Else Comes Close', 'All I Have To Give', and 'Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely' before exiting the stage. During these songs Kevin kept finding his way to their side of the stage, even when he wasn't suppose to be there. Brian had to keep dragging him, nonchalantly, back to his correct position.
As they came back out for their encores of 'It's Gotta Be You' and 'I Want It That Way', the girls were ushered backstage to avoid the crowds and the fans. Alesha grumbled the whole way about missing out on the dancer battle, cracking Leighanne and Lori up.
