The Victims Silent Cage
Abuse is darkness ventured into the void of hate
Unkind words that pierce the heart or hatreds integrate

It lurks in every crevice a sickness very real
Angers unfurled measures a pitted violent ordeal

Yet who can stop the madness abuse is on the rise
Lifes devistation of every race, creed and size

We sit alone in shameful hurt battered to angers hand
Physically or emoitionally abused victims throughout the land

Angers rage is so intense no sense precedes the fury
To the measures endless pain abuse becomes the jury

Depraved, alone, in silent cries spirits endless plight
Beconning to one so lost who can't understand the fight

Why don't you leave? Why do you stay? others have said
It is the fear that binds you here you could really end up dead

So true these words the victim knows jailed from the fear inside
That internally, emotionally battered adults and children hide

For if one stands angers abuse calls out for help from you
Dismayed you ask the victim Whatever did you do?

We do not understand abusive violent rage
When ignored by society
becomes the victims silent cage
"Of Doom"

This poem is dedicated to the adults and children
of Domestic Abuse.
May you always know that you are loved
and draw strength enough to change your lives.
