This site contains information and pictures of the restoration of our 1964 Ford Falcon Sport  Futura Convertible, 76B one of only 2,980 built in 1964.  My Wife Barb and I purchused it at the 2002 Falcon Club of America National Convention in Nashville, TN from a local fireman.  The car came originaly  with a 170cid Special Six, 2spd Ford-O-matic Automatic Transmission.  The exterior color is Raven Black with a factory installed red bucket seat interior.  Originaly I was going to keep the six cylinder engine it was great at or below 55 mph and got 22-27 mpg  alwas but out on the major highways it ran out power and driving 65-70mph was really pushing it. This summer I had both front motor mounts let go, taking out the radiator and fan and one of the rods stared to knock, the  cylinder head casting quality was bad  and was so pourous it was crumbling.  So because of all these problems we decide to swap in a small block 302cid and C4 transmission, V8 front suspension and 8" rearend over the 2003-04 winter.  This site is being update as  we remove, clean and complete painting and detailing parts and when there is time to sit and update this site, so this site is still under construction.
