Our Ford 302 small block

This is  the engine that was in our car, the 170cid six is a good engine that gets 25-27 mpg as long as you drive under 60 mph, above that it don't have anything left and with a Ford-o-matic 2spd passing on the interstates sounds like your mowing the lawn at home!  The motor mounts are weak design and cause vibration, or when they break radiator damage, clutch or shift linkage and flex plate damage can result, if both mount  were to break at  the same the engine could fall out of the engine bay and onto the road! the exhaust manifold burn gaskets out  around the #3-4 port and distort or crack often.  So we are switching to a V8!!!
This is the 302cid enginewe installed in our Falcon.   our plans are to detail it  to look like a 260cid Sprint V8 option.  We wanted a drivetrain  that is dependable, easy to work on, drivable, quiet and looks stock for 1964,  our engine's features:
* 1969 302 cid rebuilt long block (Stock cam specs.)
* Milling hi-volume oil pump, oil windage tray.
* Pertronix electronic ignition conversion in a stock Autolite distributor.
* C4OE-9425-B, 4V cast iron Ford intake manifold with a Autolite 4100 4V Carberator.
* Autolite Alternator with a one wire voltage regulator.
* 1968 C4 3spd Automatic transmission.
