Attention: July 24, 1998
My car has been stolen from my driveway. If anybody sees a red 1990 Acura Integra that fits the description of my car please call the Jersey City Police at 201.547.5477.
Update: July 25, 1998
The car was found, today. The thieves took every bolt on parts that they can, and trashed whatever they did not take.
I have marked all the
STOLEN parts on this web page.If you or any of your friends are in the market for any of these parts, please make sure the parts are not stolen. We have to put a stop to this. If no one would buy or refuse to buy stolen parts these thieves will have a hard time selling parts.
After putting eight (8) years into the build up of my car, using all your hard earned money, the feeling is just really bad. If any of you out there have put the same effort into building your rides to the way they are now, you definitely do not want some
low life scums stealing your car and just so that they can make some money.
One of my current car is a 1990
Acura Integra. This car is great, reliable, comfortable and great performance. I have added some pretty good things to the car since I bought it. I have a custom stereo with 800 watts of pure power. Nothing bridged or anything like that. Up front the head unit and CD-changer are from Alpine, a Premier DEQ-7500 provides the necessary DSP/EQ/Crossover. Tweeters and midranges are from Infinity. Two Kicker Solobaric 10 provides bottom end. Two HiFonics amplifiers, one Boltar, and one Gemini provide power. The whole interior is also lined with Dynamat to keep unnecessary vibrations quiet. Pretty neat for a sound system put together in 1992.Two years ago I took off everything related to car audio. Six months ago I tried Drag Racing and now I am focusing on the performance side of the car.
Now for the looks and performance side:
EXTERIOR: To enhance the exterior of the car, I replaced the stock wheels with 16x7.5 MOMO I.D.E.A.'s wrapped with
Yokohama AVI's*. I think simplicity looks best.INTERIOR: MOMO Monte Carlo steering wheel, tall anatomic shift knob and
RAZO aluminum pedals. (STOLEN)SUSPENSION: I have installed a
Neuspeed strut tower brace, to keep the front end more rigid now that I am riding on a plus two setup. Struts are Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable with Neuspeed race springs, that lowered the car approximately 2 inches. Suspension Techniques replaces the original anti sway bars. (STOLEN)ENGINE INTAKE: I am using an
HKS Power Flow Filter, a small K&N filter on the valve cover.ELECTRICAL:
Magnecor 8.5 competition spark plug cable.*Here is a list of things I upgraded last summer, 1997:
|
BRAKES: |
Neuspeed Stainless Steel Brake Lines |
|
DIFFERENTIAL: |
Quaife Limited Slip Differential |
|
EXHAUST: |
DC Sports Stainless Steel Headers to a |
|
EXTERIOR: |
Japanese spec One piece Headlights. I got this from Team Kosoku's Marc Fata. Check out his web page for more used parts for sale. (STOLEN) |
|
INTERIOR: |
|
|
TIRES: |
Yokohama AVI's (205 x 50 / 16) - I went a little higher on the sidewalls to give me a bit more cushion on the bumpy roads of New Jersey. (STOLEN) Mickey Thompson's ET Drag Tires (20 x 8 x 14). For track use only. |
|
TRANSMISSION: |
Centerforce Dual Diaphragm Clutch and the whole transmission balanced. This clutch is awesome. I still have to get used to releasing it when I'm on the track. My car is peeling out up to 3rd gear, loosing precious time on the quarter mile. My best time is 16.309. I am hoping to bring it down to 16.000 without using the slicks and without spinning the tires. |
|
|
April 4, 1998: I just ran 15.650 with the same setup as last year |
|
SUSPENSION: |
I have just added a Jackson Racing camber correction kit. I am hoping that my tires would hook up a lot better now that the wheels are properly aligned. |
