My Biography

...or at least the little bit I feel like sharing with the world as a whole.
Just to tell you a little bit about myself:
I am 44 years old.
I have blonde hair and blue eyes. When I was 6, I looked almost exactly like the Calvin (The blonde haired cartoon character above dancing with his pet tiger). It is hard to tell my hair color now, because I usually shave my head.
I earned a Masters Degree in Computer Science in the mid 1980's.
I returned to school in 2001. The reason is: I injured my wrist a few years back, and had to wear a brace for a while. I studied Japanese at UCSD and the University of Montana.
For a few of years now, I have enjoyed Hong Kong action films. Some of my favorites are: "Return of the God of Gamblers", "The Killer", "A Police Story 2", "Drunken Master 2", "Once a Thief" (the film with Chow Yun-Fat, not the made for TV movie), "Armour of God 2: Operation Condor", and "Heroic Trio".
I also like Japanese Kaiju (monster) and Anime a lot as well. Some shows that I enjoy are: "Excel Saga", "Ranma 1/2", "Shin Seki Evangelion", "Ghost in the Shell", "All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku".
Also the films: "Odourdaisosasen", "Hana-bi", "Gojira tai Meka Gojira", "Zatoichi", "Ran", "Gamera 3" and "Akira Kurosawa's Dreams".
I prefer to see films that aren't American made, mostly because I think that American films rely too much on special effects. It seems like they get rid of a good story, so that they can fill the screen with silly special effects. A prime example of this is "Star Wars: Phantom Menace", which was the same old Star Wars stuff (Fly the little ship into the big ship to destroy it), with stupid characters (Jar Jar) and flashy computer generated backgrounds.
In "Attack of the Clones" was it just me or did Padme take Ankin's confession of genocide a lot better than she should have?
Some of the things I enjoy doing are: Going to the beach, and the mountains, spending time with friends, writing and listening to music.
