      Mrs. Lizzie Hopp, 90, of 216 Taylor St., Waupun, died Monday, July 2, at Riverdale Manor Nursing Home, Markesan, following a long illness.
      Born Nov. 6, 1882, in the Town of Waupun, she was a daughter of Manus and Jennie Van Buren. She was married to Henry Hopp in the early 1900s in the Town of Alto.
      They farmed in the Waupun and Alto area until 1942 when they moved to Waupun. Mrs. Hopp was a member of Emmanuel Reformed church, Waupun, and the Ladies Guild.
      Mrs. Hopp is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Asmus, Waupun; four sons, Herman, Jake, Henry, and Louis, all of Waupun; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, four brothers and three sisters.
      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Reformed church with the Rev. George Chermak officiating. Burial will be at Forest Mound cemetery.
      Friends and relatives may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, and at the church from noon Friday until the hour of services.

Henry Hopp, Sr. Dies Suddenly
Henry Hopp, Sr., 91, a resident of 216 Taylor St., died suddenly Thursday morning July 25, in his home.
He was born July 11, 1877, in the town of Waupun, the son of Manus and Elizabeth Harmsen Hopp. He was married Nov. 13, 1903 to Elizabeth Van Buren.
After their marriage they farmed in the town of Alto. He retired from farming in 1942 and after that was employed by the Forest Mound cemetery association for 14 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed church.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. George  Asmus; four sons, Herman, Jacob, Henry,jr., and Louis; one brother, Evert Van Buren; and one sister, Mrs. John Vant Hoff, all of Waupun; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
His parents, one son, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Hopp's body was in state at Beyers Funeral home Friday afternoon, July 26, after 2 p.m. and in the evening. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 2 p.m. in Emmanuel Reformed church. The Rev. George Chermak officiated. Burial was in Forest Mound cemetery.

     WAUPUN - Henry Hopp, 73, 216 Taylor St., Waupun, died Monday, March 26, 1990 at his home.
      The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Waupun, with the Rev. Robert Hekhuis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun.
      Mr. Hopp was born July 7, 1916 in Waupun, the son of Henry, Sr. and Elizabeth (Van Buren) Hopp.
      He was empoyled at the Mid-State Shoe Co., Waupun, May 1935 to Jan 1975, and was later empolyed by Lauer's Food for 13 years. He was active in many civic affairs, including the Waupun Hospital Auxiliary was a former member of the Kiwanis Club, and was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun.
      Survivors include one sister, Lydia Asmus, Waupun; four sister-in-law, Henrietta Hopp, Mayne Hopp, Gertrude Hopp and Irene Hopp, all of Waupun.
      He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
      Friends may call at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
