BIOGRAPHY JAY STEINBERG. A concert pianist, composer, actor, writer and filmmaker with Oscar and Emmy nominations, Jay has worked in Hollywood, New York and Paris; scored some 30+ films and videos; played at La Posada, Ritz, Nordstrom, Wrigley Mansion; produced 4 Cds; debuted 4 original works since 2000 (Suite for Monet & Irish Rhapsody, ASU’s Kerr Cultural Center; Heartland Suite and Surrealism, for the 2001 Norman Rockwell and 2005 Surrealism Exhibits at the Phoenix Art Museum). In 2003-04, he scored the feature film, “Nowhere, Arizona”, for which he also composed the title song with lyricist/actor Rick Hammontree; and co-wrote “It’s Christmas in the Desert Again”, song broadcast over 15 radio stations on Christmas Day. In 2005 he helped score the award-winning animation “Fragile Machine” and produced, directed and scored the “SHOWBIZ AZ” pilot for KAZ-TV. Other recent TV appearances include Ch.3 (Ind), Ch.5 (CBS), and Ch.15 (ABC). |
