We started our hike Sat (after I had nearly died from a virus friday) . We parked at the end of FS224 at the Borden Creek trailhead (#200) (fee area). Following the trail south we soon came upon a small waterfall and a cave that you must pass thru. You dont have to crawl but you will need to take your pack off and push/pull it thru. Lots of campsites and water along the trail. Its a nice hike with lots of scenery, if you hear water dripping , drop your pack and explore. You have to watch for the intersection with trail 209, the Sipsey river trail. Look for the Y in the river and the trail will be on the north side. You have to cross Borden creek to get to it. (or you can continue south to the recreation area). We crossed and followed a widerness trail (its overgrown in places) but the scenery was great. It follows the river so there is always water and there are lots of campsites. Again explore because there are lots of small falls. Sat...we followed 209 to trail 204 (East Bee branch canyon). Its a dry, uneventfull trail after the 1st mile until the sidetrail to the falls and big tree (its huge). No good campsites or water. We later found out that an unmarked trail follows the creek to the falls (take it). The up/down trail by the falls is difficult to find. We took FS 224 (horse) trail back down to the trailhead parking. This used to be a road and its boring. Side trails are shown but alot of pine bettle damage in the woods. No water or campsites until right before the bridge near the trailhead. Its a great place to hike. In all we did about 13 miles (2.7 on 200, 5 on 209, 2.4 on 204, and 3 on 224). Happy trails.
