I have a special interest and have received education and training in the areas of
marital therapy, pre-marital education, family therapy, anger management, grief and
loss, depression, anxiety, and elder care.
I regularly assist couples on the brink
of divorce to use proven ways to restore hope and rebuild their relationship.
In
my practice of psychotherapy I often work in
cooperation with the client's physician to treat
individuals who are experiencing disabling
depression or anxiety. Medication and
psychotherapy are the treatments of choice for
these illnesses.
I
welcome those clients into my practice who are
seeking help in the context of their faith
perspective (as well as those for whom faith is
not so important in treatment). I
recognize the individual's faith as a valuable
resource in the therapy process. I assist
them to use their spiritual relationship as
appropriate in the healing journey.
