More about Me
I was born in the capital city of Bihar, Patna and was brought up in the north Indian city of Lucknow. Lucknow is one of the most romantic cities that I have ever come across, although the view might be a little bit biased ;-)
I was named Gautam after the name of the
Buddha, as Bihar was very influenced by the Buddha's history. In fact, the word Bihar comes from the Pali word "Vihara" which means monastery.

I studied in the historical education institution
St. Francis' College in Lucknow till class 12. St Francis' is a hoary institution which started in 1886 !! If you are an alumni of the batch of 1991 SFC then click here !
My father, Dilip Kumar Ghosh retired from service in Lucknow where he was working with
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. after an earlier stint with the Indian Air Force where he rose till the designation of Sargeant
My mother, Chitra Ghosh, worked till I was 9 years old. She used to work with Cyanamid India (now known as Wyeth Lederle)

I did my graduation in
Hotel Management from WGSHA, Manipal.
If you are a WGSHAite then get in touch with others
here
I worked with companies like
ITC Hotels in the lovely city of Aurangabad and Eli Lilly Ranbaxy (now just Eli Lilly) in Agra (also known as the home to the Taj Mahal !) in areas like Operations & Sales

Following these experiences in 2.5 years I decided to do my MBA in Human Resources from XLRI,
Jamshedpur where I become one of those unique medly assortment of people called the XLers !!
