Photography
as a hobby
I won't bore you here with a bunch of dialogue. Here's a few of my favorite photos that I've taken through the years. Some have been lost but the ones that I currently have are here.
This is a composite of a moon picture which I took during college and a silhouette of a buck with a painted grass ridge.
Maji Shan in the Gansu Province of China.
A famous Buddhist shrine.
These wild Iris were found on a shady roadside in central China. Spring 1989.
The colors of cactus flowers have always been a fasination to me.
Silver City, New Mexico; 1974
One of my photographic goals has been to find the little things that are so often overlooked and bring them up on a screen or enlarge them in a print so that they may be appriciated. This butterfly was no more than an inch across. Springfield, MO, 1972
This is one of my all-time favorite flower pictures. I took this picture in 1974 in Silver City, New Mexico.
I wish I could say that I set every detail to capture this image but the truth is, I just got lucky.
I hope you like it too.
One of the many beautiful vistas from Wisky Mountain near Duboise, Wyoming.
This small village near Maji Shan in central China caught my eye in early Summer and once again mid Winter.
1988
Living in this area of North Georgia gives you extensive opportunities to capture the splendure of Autumn colors. I took this photo last Fall (1999) and I am anxious to see the leaves change each year. I don't like the heat of Summer so the color of the leaves also tells me that the weather is beginning to cool.
