Eston Emory Rohrbaugh, 90 of Nettie, Nicholas County, WV died Sunday, July 12, 1998 at his residence.

Born august 28, 1907, Maysville, WV, Grant County, he was the son of the late George Walter and Gertrude Belle (Keplinger) Rohrbaugh.

He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Rohrbaugh, in August 1977; two infant sons, Emory, on August 22, 1932, and Chester on October 07, 1939 and one infant daughter on November 14, 1933.

Mr. Rohrbaugh was a retired sawyer.

Surviving are his wife, Grace Lisa (Vandevender) Rohrbaugh; one step-son, Jeff L. Bennett and wife Kathy of Mount Nebo, WV; three sisters, Bessie Leatherman, Antioch, Mae Roberts of Burlington, and Carrie Domenic of Rawlings, Maryland; and one brother Hobert Rohrbaugh of Baker, WV.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel in Rainelle, WV, with the Rev. Willie Bailes officiating. 
Interment was in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV

James Gabriel "Gabe" Rotruck 84 died early yesterday morning, November 05, 1953, at his home, 55 South Main Street, Keyser, WV following an illness of a year.

A son of the late Thomas and Rebecca (Harris) Rotruck, he was born in Grant County, February 27, 1869 and resided there most of his life. Mr. Rotruck was a retied farmer. He held membership in the Knobley Church of the Brethren. His wife, Mrs. Annie (George) Rotruck preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons, Walter Rotruck, Keyser; Charles Rotruck, Rockville, and Virgil Rotruck, Martin, WV, Grant County; a daughter Mrs. Zalemma Cooper, Deer park, MD; four sisters, Miss Mary E. Rotruck, Mrs. Lulie Leatherman and Mrs. Maggie Harris, all of Antioch and Mrs. Rebecca Harris, Martin; seven grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

The body is at the Rogers Funeral Home. Services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Knobley Church by Rev. Norman L. Harsh, pastor and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Walter T."Dick" Rotruck, 82 of 500 Carskadon Lane, Keyser, WV formerly of Martin, WV, Grant County, died Saturday, November 25, 2000 at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, WV.

Born May 17, 1918 at Ridgeville, he was the son of the late Adolph and Susan Elizabeth (Smith) Rotruck. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean (Davis) Rotruck on October 09, 1985, three brothers, four sisters and one great-granddaughter.

Mr. Rotruck was retired from Carpenters Union Local 132 Washington, D.C. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Nancy Hanks Post #3518VFW, Keyser and DAV Chapter #9, Keyser. He formerly attended the Falls Assembly of God Church at Greenland Gap, Grant County.

Mr. Rotruck is survived by two sons, Lyle D. Rotruck and wife Margie, Ranson and Walter C. Rotruck and wife, Mary, Martinsburg, two daughters, Ellen Susan Martin and husband, Howard, Summit Point and Robin Z. Rotruck and friend, Earl Cogle, Ranson, one brother, Willie John "Bill" Rotruck, New Cummerstown, Ohio and two sisters, Pauline Funkhouser, a resident of Heartland of Keyser Nursing home and Helen Baker, Keyser, nine grandchildren, Jennifer Gloria Philips and Amanda Rotruck, Martinsburg, John J. Ours, Harpers Ferry, Rebecca Rotruck, Rippon, Ellen Wiles and husband Donald, Ranson, Sarah Swisher, Ranson and Susan Martin, Summit Point; one great-grandson, Kristopher Rotruck, Martinsburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Walter Lancaster officiating.

Interment will be in the Thrush Cemetery, Antioch, WV.

Graveside military honors will be accorded.

Kermit L. Rotruck, 59 of Inwood, WV, died June 04, 1993 in the VA Medical center, Martinsburg, WV.

Born July 19, 1933, in Martin, WV Grant County, he was the son of Charles and Lorena (Smith) Rotruck.

Rotruck was a self-employed window installer and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of a Baptist church in Maryland.

Surviving are his wife, Anna C. High: one son, Don L. Rotruck, at home; two daughters, Rosanna L. Rotruck, at home and Jennie L. Brown, Gerrardstown, WV; a brother, Maynard Rotruck, Keyser, WV; five sisters, Maxine Purtlebaugh, Winchester, Virginia, June Huffman, Cumberland, Maryland, Peggy Kinn, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Louise George and Dorothy Arnold, both of Keyser, WV and one grandchild.

Funeral services were held June 6 in the Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg, with the Rev. Howard L. Fulk officiating.

Interment was in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

John Wellington Rohrbaugh, 86 of Shenandoah Junction, WV, formerly of Romney, WV died Friday, February 03, 1995 at the Veterans Administration Center, Martinsburg, WV.

Born August 31, 1908 in Maysville, WV, he was the son of the late George and Gertrude (Keplinger) Rohrbaugh

He was retired from the B&O Railroad where he worked in the storeroom department.

Mr. Rohrbaugh was a member of the Transportation Communications International Union.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen (Rotruck) Rohrbaugh of Shenandoah Junction; two sons, Loren Rohrbaugh of Alma Illinois; Robert Rohrbaugh, of Grandbury, Texas; two daughters, Pauline Scott, of Peoria, Arizona; Carol Snyder, of Shenandoah Junction; two brothers, Eston Rohrbaugh of Richwood, WV; Hobart Rohrbaugh, of Antioch, WV; three sisters, Bessie Leatherman and Mae Roberts both of Antioch; Carrie Domonic, of McCoole, Maryland; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 1995 at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, With the Rev. Harold Snyder officiating.

Interment will be in the Thrush Cemetery, Antioch, WV

Charles L. Rotruck 82, of RD 1, Keyser, WV died Yesterday, February 07, 1975, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland.

Born in Martin, July 24, 1892, he was a son of the late David W. and Mary Virginia (Harris) Rotruck. His wife Lorena Glenn (Smith) Rotruck preceded him in death September 12, 1967.

Surviving are three sons, Quinton Rotruck, Piedmont; Maynard Rotruck, Rawlings, MD, and Kermit Rotruck, Baltimore, MD, five daughters, Mrs. Maxine Purtlebaugh, Winchester, Virginia, Mrs. Dorothy Arnold, Mrs. Lousie George, Keyser, Mrs. June Huffman, Cumberland, MD and Mrs. Eilene Hite, Baltimore, MD; a sister Mrs. Gladys Haines, Keyser, a brother Arnold Rotruck, Keyser. 28 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The body is at the Rotruck Funeral Home, Keyser, where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p.m. today and from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. tomorrow.

A service will be conducted there Monday at 1 p.m. Rev. R. a. Richardson will officiate and interment will be in Knobley Cemetery.

Kermit R. Rotruck 54, of RD 1, Petersburg died Sunday, May 22, 1983 at his residence.

Born in Burlington, Feb 10, 1929, he was a son of the late Oscar L. Rotruck and Verna (Rotruck) Rotruck.

Mr. Rotruck served in the Army in Korea. He was a farmer and was a member of the Harness Run church of the Brethren.

His only survivor is a sister, Mrs. Wreatha Gardner, Antioch.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck Funeral Home, Keyser, WV, Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Knobley Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Fred Keener officiating. Interment will be in the Knobley Cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services.

Mrs. Lydia Rotruck, 82 of Petersburg died Thursday in Pendleton County Nursing Home.

Born July 2, 1898 in Salisbury, PA, she was a daughter of the late Conrad Burkholder and Gertrude (Suimney) Burkholder. She was preceded death by her husband, Gilbert F. Rotruck.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Nora Schrock, Oakland, Maryland and a brother John Burkholder, Flintstone, Maryland


Services were conducted in Brick Church of the Brethren, Saturday afternoon by the Rev. James Heckman. Interment was in Maysville Cemetery.

Jessie M. Rotruck, 90 of 262 S. Main St., Keyser, died Tuesday in Potomac Valley Hospital.

Born in Maysville October 29, 1896, she was the daughter of the late George l. and Sarah E. (Hawk) Simmons. Her husband, Frank A. Rotruck, died January 29, 1980

Mrs. Rotruck was a member of Keyser Church of the Brethren and the Loyal Star of America.

Surviving are a son, Allen M. Rotruck of Keyser; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are being received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Rotruck Funeral Home, Keyser, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Keyser Church of the Brethren with rev. Kenneth Langdon officiating. Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens.

The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.

Virgil C. Rotruck 66, of 8 Armstrong St., Keyser, WV was dead on arrival this morning at Potomac Valley Hospital

Born at Williamsport, he was the son of the late James G. and Anna (George) Rotruck.

Mr. Rotruck was a retired watchmaker at Rinard Jewelry here where he was employed for 17 years.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and member of the Knobley church of the Brethren and Boyce-Houser Post No. 41, American Legion.

Surviving are his widow, Viola (Hines) Rotruck and one sister, Mrs. Lemma Cooper of Oakland.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Rotruck Funeral Home: arrangements are incomplete

Clarice C. Rotruck, 83 of Petersburg, WV, Grant County and formerly of Knobley, WV, died Sunday December 12, 1999, at the Grant County Nursing Home where she had resided since October 25, 1999.

Born September 03, 1916 in Klines Gap, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ella Keplinger Feaster.

She was a member of the Knobley Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Carl B. Rotruck whom she married April 08, 1939, one son, Rev. Gregory A. Rotruck and wife, Nancy of Petersburg, and two granddaughters, Kendra Rotruck and Janalyn Rotruck.

Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg.

A funeral service will be held there Thursday at 2 p.m. with officiating clergymen Rev. Don Matthews and Rev. Roger Leatherman.

Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Maysville, WV.

Guy R. Runion, 62, 4260 Deborah Court, Mt. Airy, Maryland, formerly of Keyser, WV, died Monday, May 15, 2000 at the Washington Hospital center, Washington, D.C.

Born November 07, 1937 in Bayard, WV, Grant County, he was a son of the late Alton B. and Justina S. (Rotruck) Runion.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Glen D. Rotruck.

Mr. Runion was retired from the U.S. Navy with 25 years of service. He was a member of the New Market United Methodist Church, New Market, Maryland and God Star Post 191, VFW, Mt. Airy.

Surviving are a brother, John a. Runion and wife Beverly, Mt. Airy; two sisters, Betty Forebeck and husband Doug, Cumberland, and Ruth Housley and husband Richard, Denton, Texas; three nieces, Krista Smith, Plano, Texas, Michelle Steibly, Suffolk, VA, and Cassie Broadwater, Cumberland; four nephews, Michael Shillingburg, Cumberland, Gary Rotruck and Darrell Rotruck, both of Keyser and Kenny Rotruck of Orange Park, Florida.

Myrna Mae Rotruck
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Knobley Church of the Brethren for Miss Myrna Mae Rotruck 28 of Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly employed here, who was fatally injured in a two-car accident Christmas Day on Cooper’s Mountain, U.W. Route 50.

Rites will be conducted by Rev. L. Gene Butcher and Rev. Max Fisher and interment will be in Knobley Cemetery.

Friends may call at Rogers Funeral Home until noon tomorrow when the body will be taken to the church. Miss Rotruck, daughter of Otis and Marchie (Durr) Rotruck of Martin, WV, Grant County, was employed for seven years at the office in the courthouse of the Mineral County Agricultural Extension Service.

However, since last July, she had been employed at Norfolk VA Naval Base and resided at 1001 Kink William Road, Virginia Beach.

She was en route to Martin to spend the holidays with her family when the accident occurred at 4 p.m. Saturday. She was dead on arrival at Winchester Memorial Hospital.

State Police at Romney reported no one else was injured in the icy road mishap and the driver and occupants of the other car were not identified.

Besides her parents, Miss Rotruck is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Neva Walk of Virginia Beach and Miss Alta Rotruck at home.

She was graduated in 1957 from Petersburg High School and in 1959 from Potomac State College. She was a member of Knobley Church of the Brethren and Iota Pi Chapter, Tau Phi Lambola, Woodmen of the World, Keyser

Quinton Harold Rotruck Sr., 57 of 23 Jones Street, Piedmont, WV died yesterday August 17, 1977, at Memorial Hospital Cumberland, Maryland.

Born November 02, 1919 in Martin, WV, Grant County, he was a son of the late Charles and Lorena Glen (Smith) Rotruck.

He was a retired automobile salesman and a member of Holy Name Church, Columbus, Ohio.

Surviving are five sons, Quinton Rotruck Jr. and Gary Rotruck, Columbus, Ohio; Harold and Gregg Rotruck, Keyser and Ronald Rotruck, Bloomington, Maryland; four daughters, Mrs. Connie Iser, Miss Betty Rotruck, Mrs. Mona Sue Jacobs and Miss Cinda Lou Rotruck, Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Maynard Rotruck, Rawlings, Maryland, Kermit Rotruck, Baltimore, Maryland; five sisters, Mrs. Maxine Purtlebaugh, Winchester, Virginia, Mrs. Dorothy Arnold, Mrs. Louise George, Keyser, WV, Mrs. June Huffman, Cumberland, Maryland and Mrs. Eilene Kim, Westminster, Maryland and four grandchildren.

Born October 09, 1996, in Petersburg, WV, he was a son of Kenny D. and Peggy S. (Kisamore) Riggleman, Burlington, WV.

Jared was a member of the Bible Pentacostal Church, Antioch, WV

Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Bryan and Mathew Riggleman; and two sisters, Miranda and Amber Riggleman, all at home; maternal grandparents, Jearl and Regenia (Woodson) Kisamore, Burlington; paternal grandparents, James and Robbie (Arbaugh) Riggleman, Burlington; maternal great-grandparents; Jearl and Virginia Kisamore, Seneca Rocks, WV and Loray Woodson, Fairfax, Virginia; paternal great-grandmother Lucy Bennett, Cherry Grove, WV; and a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Fred Goldizen officiating.

Interment will be in Knobley Memorial Gardens, New Creek, WV.

Truman M. "Jack" Rotruck, 75, of 142 Argyle St., Keyser, WV, died today at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born May 22, 1913, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Roy L. and Sally (Bean) Rotruck.

Mr. Rotruck was a retired employee of the B&O Railroad, and was a member of the Knobley Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn L. (Secrist) Rotruck; three sons, John T. Rotruck, Oxford, Ohio, Jerrold L. Rotruck of Tallahassee, Florida, and James L. Rotruck of Lawrence Park, Maryland; two brothers; Marshall Rotruck of Keyser and Raymond Rotruck of Antioch; one sister, Marian Marshall of Antioch; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The body is at the Rotruck Funeral Home, where further arrangements are incomplete.

Note; Jack and Evelyn and the three boys lived in the Martin community (Grant County) before moving to Keyser. Jack ran a small store in the Martin Community back in the 50s.

Edward E. Rotruck, 73, died Monday, Sept. 9, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg.

Born in Mineral Co. Oct. 26, 1909, he was a son of the late Albert A. Rotruck and Alice (Crites) Rotruck.

Mr. Rotruck was a farmer and was employed as manager of Long View Farm in Burlington for 25 years. He served in the Philippines with the Army in World War II and was a graduate of the Graham Breeding School at Lancaster, Pa. He was a member of Duling United Methodist Church near Keyser.

His wife, the former Annie Elizabeth Thorne, died March 2, 1983.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Catherine Fisher, Charles Town and Mrs. Genevieve E. Kushner, Manheim, Pa.; one brother, Vernon Rotruck, Keyser; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Crawford, Mrs. Margaret Lewis and Mrs. Eva Mae Hershey, all of Keyser; Mrs. Hilda Staggs, Oceanside, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was a brother-in-law of Rennie Thorne, Dorcas.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 13 at the Rotruck Funeral Home, Keyser, with the Rev. Ronald E. Bowyer officiating. Interment was in the Duling Cemetery.

Brooke Lyle Rohrbaugh, 81, of Petersburg, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, where he had resided since August 1998.

Born on July 8, 1919, in Arthur, he was the son of the late Homer and Willa (McDonald) Rohrbaugh. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Catherine (Trinkle) Rohrbaugh in 1953; two sisters, Anna Lee Abelle and Geniveve Reniger; and two stepsons, Charles Oates and David Oates.

Mr. Rohrbaugh retired from the U.S. Navy as Senior Chief Quartermaster, after over 28 years of service. He received the National Defense Service Medal Award with a Bronze Star and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. He was a part of the Naval Intelligence and represented enlisted navy personnel in the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. He was President of the Board of Directors for Canaan Valley Resort until 1993.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte (Hamstead) Oates Rohrbaugh; two daughters, Darlene H. Rohrbaugh of Petersburg, and Beverly Ann Pethtal of Petersburg; one stepson, Arthur R. Oates of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Robert Garnett Rohrbaugh of Blairstown, N.J.; six grandchildren, Bobbi Kraus of Kansas City, Mo., John Paul Hott II, of Scherr, Tevya Vance of Dorcas, Charlotte Franz of Maysville, Danielle Oates of Petersburg, and Cameron Oates of Petersburg; and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be a full honor U.S. Military Burial at Sea out of the Atlantic Port of Norfolk, Va., performed on a Navy Vessel while deployed on official maneuvers.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date in Petersburg.

Born on Jan. 28, 1920, in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. Hamstead and Charlotte (Vossler) Hamstead. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Olin Richard Oates Sr., on Sept. 5, 1965, and her second husband, Brooke L. Rohrbaugh on June 11, 2001; two sons, Charles Vossler Rohrbaugh on July 31, 1967, and David Cameron Oates on Oct. 25, 1999.

Charlotte was owner and president of Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. and Oates Cable TV in Petersburg, and Canaan Valley Resorts Inc., Canaan. She was a member of the Petersburg Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one son, Arthur R. Oates and wife Vonda of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; three grandchildren, Charlotte Oates Franz of Maysville, Danielle Oates of Petersburg, and Cameron Oates of Petersburg; and one great-granddaughter, Sadie Grace Franz.

Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Petersburg Presbyterian Church, Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. C. William Cox officiating.

Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg.

Emmett E. Rohrbaugh, 82, of Rt. O Box 143, Burlington, WV died Thursday June 28, 2001 at the Potomac Valley Hospital.

Born on February 03, 1919 in Maysville, he was a son of the late Albert M. and Lucy (Veach) Rohrbaugh. His stepmother, Annie (McDonald) Anderson Rohrbaugh: his wife, Audrey V. (Cannon) Rohrbaugh on February 14, 2001; one grandson, Douglas James Rohrbaugh; three brothers, Victor, Delmer and Ray Rohrbaugh; and two sisters, Myrtle Dolly and an infant also preceded him in death.

Mr. Rohrbaugh was a life long farmer. He retired with 14 years of service with the West Virginia Department of Highways as a truck driver and was a member of the Harness Run church of the Brethren, Burlington, WV. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Boyce-Houser Post #41 American Legion, Keyser.

He is survived by two sons, Raymond E. Rohrbaugh and wife JoAnn and Melvin E. Rohrbaugh and wife, Connie, all of Burlington; three daughters, Frances L. Victor Rohrbaugh, 77, of Antioch, WV died Thursday July 13, 1977 at Grant Memorial Hospital.

Born in Grant County on February 04, 1900, he was a son of the late Abijah and Sally (Evans) Rohrbaugh.

Surviving are his widow, Dovie (Rohrbaugh) Rohrbaugh of Antioch, four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Smootz, Antioch, Mrs. Dollie Caldwell, St. Petersburg, Florida, Mrs. Sally Crabbe, Gerrardstown, and Mrs. Mary Feaster, New Creek, one son, Harold D. Rohrbaugh, Maysville, one brother, Abijah Rohrbaugh, Gorman, twenty-four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Last rites ere conducted Saturday afternoon at the Knobley Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Sam Goldizen officiating. Interment was in Knobley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requested memorials to the Knobley Church or Grant Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements were in charge of the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV.

Roy L. Rotruck, 88 of Antioch, died November 17, 1977 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marion Marshall, Antioch.

Born June 05, 1889, the son of the late Hinkle and Ida (High) Rotruck. His wife Sally (Bean) Rotruck preceded him in death.

Retired from the B&O, he was also a farmer and attended Knobley Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are four sons, Truman and Marshal of Keyser, Donald of Los Angles, CA and Raymond of Baltimore, Maryland. One daughter, Mrs. Maxine cooper, Cresaptown; one brother, Cecil Rotruck, Toledo, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Mills, Keyser, Mrs. Edna Hines, Antioch, Mrs. Oletta Foster, Cumberland, Maryland and Mrs. Margaret Bayne, Richmond, Virginia. Preceding him in death were one daughter and two brothers. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Knobley Church of the Brethren by Rev. Lowell Rogers. Rev. Herman Baliles and Rev. Sam Goldizen. Burial at the Knobley Cemetery.

Arrangements were in charge of the Rotruck Funeral Home, Keyser, WV.

Margie Virginia Riggleman, 67, of Rig, died April 21, 2002 at her residence.

Born April 28, 1934, in Grant County, she was the daughter of the late Arlie Rohrbaugh and the late Gilbert and Annie (Moyers) Halterman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Julian E. Riggleman Sr., December 1996; two sons and two daughters.

She is survived by five sons, Jerry Riggleman, Steve Riggleman and Bobby Lucas, all of Moorefield and John Riggleman and Laddie Riggleman, both of Rig; five daughters, Rita Walker, Jo Eiva Bean and Sunja Salyers, all of Moorefield, Ramona Fatkin of Tallahassee, Fla. and Tomiko Crites of Petersburg; two half brothers, Dave Suiter of Elkins and Rick Suiter of Kessel; one half sister, Juanita Inskeep of Lahmansville; 33 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were April 24, in Fraley Funeral Home chapel, Moorefield, with interment in the Newhouse Cemetery, Rig.

Willis Lee "Sid" Rohrbaugh, 68, of Petersburg, WV, died Tuesday, November 28,1995 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Maryland.

Born March 09,1927, at Jordon Run, he was the son of the late Edith (Rohrbaugh) Burns. He was also preceded in death by his first wife. Mary Ellen (Simpson) Rohrbaugh November 30, 1974; his second wife Alberta (Michael) Rohrbaugh December 25, 1993’ and one son Tommy G. Rohrbaugh, December 11, 1975.

Mr. Rohrbaugh was owner and operator of Rohrbaugh Lumber Co. until his retirement in 1984. Since that time he was a part-time resident of three Forks, Montana. He was a Methodist by faith and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 78, Petersburg, WV.

He is survived by one son, Leroy W. Rohrbaugh of Winchester, Virginia; three daughters, Gin Rohrbaugh of Petersburg, WV, Edith Funderburk, S. C., and Louise Judy of Petersburg; six grandchildren, Thomas Lee Rohrbaugh, Shane and Jared Funderburk, Mary Beth, Megan Ann and Benjamin Judy; one great-grandson, Cody Benjamin Rohrbaugh; one half sister, Sarah Bueanna Halterman of Ammandale, Virginia; a special companion, Margret Davis; two half brothers, Ernie Burns and Ronnie Burns, both of Purgitsville, WV and stepfather, Russell Burns of Purgitsville.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg with the Rev. Paul Donaldson officiating. Interment was in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV. Military graveside services were accorded by Petersburg Potomac Highlands VFW post 6454 and Petersburg American Legion Post 78.   Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Raymond B. Rumer, 71, Arthur, died, Nov.15, 1982 at home.

Born Aug.2, 1911 in Grant County, he was the son of the late Roy Rumer and Edna (Evans) Rumer.He was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mary (Kessel) Rumer; three sons, Roy Rumer, Boyd Rumer and Larry Rumer, all of Arthur; one daughter, Elsie Radowicz, Mill, Wisc.; three sisters, Iva Pratt, Kessell, Mabel Greznia, Griffith, Ind., Hazel Sisler, Oakland, Md,; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held tomorrow, Thursday, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. Burial will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery.

Walter Eston Riggleman, age 45, died yesterday evening August 29, 1945 at Hopemont Sanitarium, after a lingering illness.  He was born at Mozer, Pendleton County, the son of Mrs. Susie Kenser Riggleman and the late Adam Riggleman.  His wife, Mrs. Elsie Greenwalt Riggleman, lives in Antioch.  Besides his wife and mother , he is survived by four sons, Roy, Willard, Carroll and Norris, all at home, two brothers, George Riggleman, Rough Run; Jasper Riggleman, Cabins; two sisters, Mrs. Hubert C. Mongold, Dorcas, and Mrs. Alvin Harmon, Kline.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Knobley Church with Rev. J. L. Dove, pastor of the church of the Brethren, Fort Siebert, officiating.  Interment will be made in the Knobley cemetery.

Mrs. Carol E. Ranklin, 49, of Annapolis, Maryland, died Monday, January 13, 1992 at Anne Arundel Hospital.  She was the wife of Bolton Rankin and former wife of William Cunningham II

Born in Lahmansville, she was the daughter of Jonah Wolford of Glen Burnie, Maryland and the late Sarah Moyers Wolford.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Donna Phaneuf, Karen Fisher and Melody Thompson, all of Annapolis, Maryland; one son, William Cunningham III, Annapolis; three sisters, Alverta Miller of West minister, Maryland, Bonnie J. Selby of Harney, Maryland and Laura Mae Conner of Cottageville, SC; two brothers, Denton Wolford of Davidsonville, Maryland and Roy Wolford of Glen Burnie, Maryland and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at the Barranco &Sons, P. A. Funeral Home, Severia Park, Maryland.  Interment was in Pipe Creek Cemetery, Linwood, Maryland.

Olin Guy Ratliff, 75, of Upper Tract, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997 at his home.

Born May 20, 1921, at Mozer, he was the son of the late Perry and Lena Susan (Kesner) Ratliff.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, Chaney Ratliff; two infant brothers and infant twin sisters.

Mr. Ratliff was a trustee of the South Mill Creek Church of the Brethren at Mozer and had served as church treasurer for 22 years. He was a lifelong farmer in Pendleton County.

Surviving are his wife, Lonia (Whetzel) Ratliff, whom he married January 24, 1942; one son Leo Ratliff of Petersburg; two daughters, Evelyn Hevener of Upper Tract and Melda Kenser of Dorcas, three brothers, Glen Ratliff of Timberville, Virginia, Arthur Ratliff of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Homer Ratliff of Baltimore, Maryland; six sisters, Ethel Alt, Ersley Whetzel and Hazel Simmons all of Franklin, Genevieve May of Maysville, Nancy Mongold of Dorcas and Vada Mallow of Upper Tract; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren, one step great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were Saturday morning at the south Mill Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Otis S. “Buzz’ Weatherholt and the Rev. Robert E. Houff officiating.  Interment was in Kline Cemetery at Kline.

Mrs. Ollie W. Rohrbaugh, 80, died Tuesday January 31, 1989 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland.

Born June 30, 1908, in Maysville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura (Barger) Berg.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold C. Rohrbaugh, in 1970.

Mrs. Rohrbaugh attended the Crelin Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Evadot Davis, Hendricks, Mrs. Maxine Gank, Oakland, Maryland, Mrs. Amogene Metheny, Revenna, Ohio, and Mrs. Louise Slaubaugh, Windham, Ohio; two sons, G. Forrest Rohrbaugh, Oakland, and Darwin Rohrbaugh, Garretsville, Ohio, two sisters, Mrs. Velma Goldizen, and Mrs. Hazel Heavner, both of Maysville; three brothers, Austin Berg, Elbert  Berg and Foster Berg, all of Maysville; 24 grandchildren and 35 great –grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Stewart Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Poland.  Interment was in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
