BECAME A BLUE JAY:  Signed as free agent, July 3rd, 1992 Although Kalvim was made to be a starter in the Minors, his first ML season and the early part of 1998 we saw him in the Blue Jays bullpen.  His first ML start occured at Texas on August 5th, 1998 and his first win as a starter came 12 days later in Oakland.  Kalvim provided quality starts 8 out of 10 times in the rotation in 1998.  His first win of '99 came as a starter at Baltimore on April 9th.
