In response to the challenges in the next millennium as well as to the University Autonomy Policy (PP61/ 1999) Geological Engineering Departement (GED) eager to improve its role in education, research and services.

Our Vission

To be a center of excellence for Geoscience with outstanding international quality in education, research and public services

Our Mission

GED, which is supported by 30 permanent full-time educational staff  consists of 1 Professor, 5 Ph.D., 12 Masters, and 3 candidate doctors, broads missions to:

  1. Promote new paradigm in geological education which focuses on geology active plate tectonic and all related implications for human life.  

  2. Graduate globally competitive geologist,

  3. Provide research and services on the exploration of mineral resources and energy resources as well as on the environmental geology (Eco-geology and urban geology).
