| Georgina was born on the 31st December 2001, weighing 4lb 11oz and 16 inches long, after an eventful pregnancy with many problems with her growth. There were many times that doctors thought they were going to deliver her as early as 35 weeks. At 34 weeks the waters went. Many people said it was because Georgina wanted to be closer to her mummy. Three weeks passed with no sign of Georgina wanting to enter the big wide world, so, at 37 weeks Georgina was delivered by elective caesarean into her mummy's arms with nanny sue by her side. Georgina's first cry was music to her mummy's ears. It was more like a meow than a cry but it was beautiful and a memory that will stay with her mummy forever. Georgina was given many nicknames in the first five days she was in hospital after her birth. 'Angel Princess', 'Georgie', 'Baby' (given to her by her big brother Bradley), 'Little Dot' and 'Little Doll' (mostly relating to her petite but beautifully formed size). The names that stuck with her however, are Angel Princess, Baby and Georgie. Georgie came home from hospital aged five days. Although there were the beginnings of problems with her weight, Georgie soon settled into family life with her mummy, daddy and big brother Bradley. No-one can remember what life was like before Georgina arrived. Georgie was five weeks old when she suffered a fit whilst sitting on her mummy's lap. Georgie was admitted to hospital. There were problems too with Georgie not gaining weight very well, she sometimes lost weight too and it was a very worrying time for everyone. The doctor put the fit down to 'one of those things'.. Between the ages of five to eight weeks Georgie had several hospital appointments with regards to her weight. Georgina started to smile around seven weeks, her big brother Bradley received her first big beam, he always knew how to make her smile and laugh. At eight weeks Georgie was re-admitted to hospital due to more problems with her weight. They decided to put her on high energy milk as well as her mummy's breast milk. Georgie came home after a week without the tube after gaining almost a pound in weight. She continued with the high energy top-ups of milk at home and gained weight well. Mummy bought a baby gym for Georgie and she would sit in her bouncy cradle for hours with the gym over her. After a few days of staring at the gym in awe, she learnt that hitting it with her hands made it move, this brought her great pleasure and she showed it with her laughing and smiling. Georgie enjoyed sitting on her mummy's lap whilst mummy chatted to her online friends. While mummy was typing Georgie would be smiling and laughing in her own little way. Georgie was fascinated by her daddy, she would spend hours just staring at his face and responded by smiling when she heard his voice. Bradley adored Georgie and called her 'his baby'. She adored him by responding to him all the time with cute little smiles and lots of giggles. They both loved their special cuddles. Georgie, (Baby, Angel Princess) passed away while she was sleeping in her mummy's arms on the morning of Wednesday 10th april 2002. Georgina Elizabeth Rosina Weeks was 14 weeks and 2 days old. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and mummy's many online friends. |
