The Tale of Chatham Football

It all happened one Friday afternoon on the frozen tundra on the quad of Stonehill College. Several men gathered to play a little game of pickup football. Originally it began as a small game of two-hand touch, but eventually became more... much more. Soon enough, came more people and a new rule: tackle! The weekly game gathered momentum over the course of the semester as some individuals became heroes and a few were carried to the sidelines. The blood, sweat and tears that were experienced by the players will (sadly) probably lead to stories heard by their children and grandchildren.

The 'athletes' are now healing for a new season in 2003, which will unfortunately lead to more stories that will be told to future generations... "When I was in college, well I didn't play for the football team, but me and some friends..."
