William M. "Bill" Gilbert, Jr., 47, of 14th Street, Covington, La., formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday.
Born in Greenville, a son of William M. and Lila Poore Gilbert of Greenville, he was a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in Hendersonville, N.C., and attended the Baptist Seminary in New Orleans, La. and was a World War II veteran.
Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Helen Gilbert; three daughters, Mrs. Charlene Phillips of Greenville, Miss Vickie Gilbert and Miss Felecia Gilbert of Covington, La.; five sons, Jim Gilbert of Greenville, Randy Gilbert, Jimmy Gilbert, Michael Gilbert and Tracy Gilbert of Covington La.; two brothers, Allison A. Gilbert and Kenneth M. Gilbert of Greenville.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.
