Each Pacific Schoolcoach was built to Washington State specifications.

The Pacific Schoolcoach was the first school bus manufacturer to provide roof escape hatches, and two emergency doors on each side.

Each Schoolcoach had the "wide trak'" design. Shorter wheelbase, matched with a wider track, offered more turning capabilities.

The floor on a schoolcoach was higher in the rear than in the front.

Gillig bought the Pacific line in 1957, and Gillig later implemented the design of the Schoolcoach into their own transit style models.
