The Gay & Lesbian Parents and Families WebRing was created after the Gay & Lesbian Family Values WebRing stopped accepting new sites into the ring (April 2001) and the Creators of the WebRing became unreachable. I felt we needed a functioning, maintained and growing WebRing for Gay and Lesbian Families, so I stole their format (sorry guys) and got one up and running quickly. I never wanted to run a WebRing, but I was willing to in this case.

It is important that this WebRing only contain Sites that directly relate to Gay and Lesbian Families/Parenting around the world. This means that anyone marketing a product or service exclusively on their website will not be added to the WebRing UNLESS the product or service DIRECTLY relates to Gay/Lesbian Parenting/Families. This will help keep the webring from becoming diluted with a lot of junk.

Exclusively Adult Sites will NOT be added to the WebRing. If someone has a Gay & Lesbian Family or Parenting Site that has a link to some Adult Material and the link it is listed as such, the site will be added if the Gay & Lesbian Family/Parenting Material out weighs the Adult Material.

Sites that are higher in graphics and animations that in content or which are extremely slow to load will not be added to the WebRing.

It is acceptable to have a separate WebRings page, but it is important that the WebRings page is easily accessible from the main pages. Once people leave the WebRings page it should be easy to get back to it in case they want to continue surfing the Ring.

If the WebRing code is ever removed or stops working, you will be contacted and then removed from the Ring if it is not resolved in a reasonable time. This is important in order to maintain a good functional Ring that serves everyone's web pages equally.
