Please, come in, make yourself comfortable. It is our desire, through this web site to educate people on depression and to give support to those who suffer with it.

Depression can be fatal and should never be taken lightly by the sufferer or his family and loved ones.

In the United States in 1998 there were 30,575 deaths attributed to suicide. Chances are everyone of these people were deeply depressed at some point to lead them to thier completed suicide. I say completed because there are many thousands more who have attempted without completion.

If you suffer from depression of any form of which there are many. Depression is not something that afflicts only the old, poor or ill. It can and does strike in all levels of populations, income brackets and social status.

Depression can be as mild as waking up one morning and thinking why bother getting out of bed it's raining out, this will usualy pass within a couple hours of getting up and is normaly referred to as the blues.
The other end of the spectrum is that depression can last for years and can lead to suicide. There is help for you if you are willing to work with proffesionals who understand this disorder.
Most people can not resolve thier depression on thier own and many will need perscription drugs, therapy and even hospitization to get them through it.

NOTICE

I am sorry to report that our founder, Carole Manley, has gone to rest with our Lord. For this reason, I have not the heart or energy to continue on my own, so this site will no longer be updated. Thank you for your support while we were a team. I hope the work we did here, has, and will continue to help sufferers of depression.

Miss C., you will live on in our hearts for all time. Thank you, partner and friend, for the time you shared with me. We will meet again.
God Bless. ^i^ Guardian Angel.
