This poem was written by Shelly for her son Bretton. Thank you for your wonderful poem Shelly.

Bretton is a very active four year old boy, diagnosed with diabetes at age 2.  He started out sick with a bad stomach virus and things went out of control after that. I wrote this poem a couple weeks into the diagnosis after finding myself constantly answering all kinds of questions. Bretton is now doing great! Bretton is getting an insulin pump in August of this year and we are looking forward to him leading a close-to-normal life!  We love e-mails and answer each and every one!
