       Twins in Grand Mesa

Many of you might have wondered what it is like to be a twin, or how many twins are there in Grand Mesa Middle School. Well there are a few for every grade. In 8th grade there is Daniel and Eric Pearson. Some question we asked ourselves were: What do you like to do? Daniel answered "Mountain bike and play video games." Eric answered. "Play football, watch movies, play video games." Where have you lived? Both answered "Here in Grand Junction." Do you enjoy being a twin? Daniel answered "Huh, yeah, sure" Eric answered "Yes."  What makes it enjoyable? Daniel said, "You always have a friend to play games with and to fight with." Eric said, "There is always a friend there to play with you when you are a kid."
In 7th grade there are two sets of twins,  Kyle and Tyler Casteel, Daniel and Jesus Rodriguez. When we interviewed the Rodriguezs' they were asked the same questions. What do you like to  do? "Play basketball" Jesus answered. "Play basketball" Daniel answered. Where have you lived? "Grand Junction." Daniel said. "Grand Junction." Jesus answered.  Do you enjoy being a twin? "Yeah its cool." Jesus answered. "Yea." Daneil told us. What makes it enjoyable? "You always have some one to talk to." Daniel answered. "You're never lonely." Jesus told us. After we finished interviewing the Rodrigeuzs' we went to interview Kyle and Tyler Caststeal. When we asked Kyle what he likes to do he said, "Hunt, fish, paint balling, and outdoors stuff." Kyle said. "Hang out with my brother, family and watch TV." Tyler told us. Where have you lived? Kyle said, "Just Grand Junction." and Tyler answered the same. When asked; Do you enjoy being a twin both  answered, "Yes." We also asked them what makes being a twin enjoyable? "You always have some one to talk to." and Tyler said "Being able to beat up on someone and play PS2 with."
In sixth grade there is one pair of twins, named Pete and Jake Stefanick. We interviewed them as well and when we asked Jake what he liked to do he said, "Sports"
Where have you lived? "New York and here." Do you enjoy being a twin? "Yea." What makes it enjoyable? "You can trick people." When we asked Pete what he liked to do, amazingly he said pretty much what his brother had said. "Sports." Where have you lived? "Just here and New York." Do you enjoy being a twin? "Yea." Still just like his brother. What makes it enjoyable? "Tricking people." Pete answered. If you could not figure out that they were twins by looking at them you could tell by the answer they give to your question. That is all the twins we know of in this school. If you are a twin and are not in this article we are sorry, we did not receive your names in our survey.

            Long Hobby

At Grand Mesa we have many talented students, but one 7th grader is Matt Raferty. Matt's hobby is collecting Baseball cards. Matt has collected cards since he was eight years old. Matt has about 5,000 cards, with a value of 800 to 1,000 dollars. The cost of the cards can vary, like an autographed card is 15 to 500 dollars, but a regular card is only 20 cents. The reason for collecting cards is that he likes Baseball, and he thought that he needed a hobby. Matt is only one of the talented students at Grand Mesa.
