| Takedown Tournament On Saturday January 5, the Grand Mesa Wrestling team went to the OMMS Takedown Tourment. Wrestlers who received 1st place were: Weston Denning, Ross McGee, Nick Grady, John Woods, and Jose Reyes. Second place winners were: Donavon Logan, Michael Beagley, Kevin Hill, Matt Wood, J.J. Martinez, Charlie Payton, Fransisco Delgadillo, and Trent Harris. Robert Sheetz, Marshall Melnick, Tyler Casteel, and Diego got third place. Fourth place went to Danniel Downs, Steve Rock, Adam Rodriguez, Korby Calhoon, Nick Matta, Victor Guerrero, Martino Lucero, Kyle Casteel, Wesley Snipes, and Derek Trout. | GMMS vs. FMS & MGMS On Thursday February 17th, FMS and MGMS came Grand Mesa to wrestle. Our wrestling team slaughtered them both. We beat FMS 24 to 16, and MGMS 20 to 14. These people brought "pin to win" to life: Micheal Beagley, Weston Dening, Robert Sheetz, Daniel Rodriguez, Ryan Sanchez, Ross McGee, Kevin Hill, JJ Martinez, Victor Gurrero, Ben Harmen, Fransico Delgadillo, Jose Reyes, Kyle Casstel, Trent Harris, Joel Arvayo, Steve Rock, Jesus Rodriguez, Korby Calhoon, Alex Montoya, Jarron Sparks, Derek Trout. | The Baseball Season With the Spring Training coming to a start, many teams are trying hard to get in World Series form. The returning champs, the Boston Redsox are one of the favorites going into the season, but the New York Yankees are also considered favorites by many. On opening day the Sox face their biggest rival the New York Yankees. Most people would say that the favorite in the National League is the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards did lose one of their top players ( Edgar Renteria) during the offseason, but they did get a top pitcher ( Mark Mulder). So the Redsox better keep a good eye on them.
