Two-Headed Weedeater  Plans $20
The Two-Headed weedeater. Powered by a standard lawnmower engine between 3.5 and 6 hp, this is the tool that fills the gap between a riding mower, push mower and a weedeater. Cut width is  40". Light as a lawnmower. Zero turn radius. Goes easily into a truck. Could go by car. Latest version has big wheels, cutting grass has never been quicker and easier. Shut it off and go thru small gates like a push lawnmower. Strings easy to replace. The spindles never need alignment. Once welded in place, it will cut the same everytime. Since there's no metal blade, I take mine anywhere, over roots, rocks. It will cut wet grass. Since it's light, wet ground is not as much a problem as a push mower. Over all this is another one of my tools that really saves me time. If you cut grass and you are looking for a faster way, this is it. This thing really excels at cutting small yards/areas with tight spaces, too difficult or not effective with a rider, but a push mower just isn't fast enough. I've cut whole yards with it. It actually does a very smooth flat cut. Looks very good when finished.
So what are the downfalls? I don't know. You have to change the strings sometimes. I can cut 10 small yards before worrying about it.
Plans include pictures and dimensions of working model. Uses standard hardware and lawnmower parts.
