In January 2003 We are going to Ghana for three months to teach English to primary school children, there is a huge shortage of teachers in Ghana, indeed all over Africa, so this is my chance to help these developing countries.
What we are going to find when we get there, who knows, but I am sure that it will open our eyes to a different way of life. I am very excited (and a bit scared!) about going, and cannot wait to arrive.
Two schools in the Greater Manchester area are going to get involved this expedition, learning about all aspects of life in Ghana and of course I hope that the children we are teaching in Africa will learn a little about my city aswell.
