The new "Goldenheels" site.

After eight months of the "Goldenheels" webpage at Delphi it is time to try to run a site for our photos. At first I had no idea of the trouble I would get in; seeing a site is far easier than making it!. I tried some on-line site editors, some easy-to-build programs and the default Microsoft Front Page Express but the results was very disappointing (from my side of view). Finally I got into a leading professional program and had to learn it all from the beginning. Its potentials are almost endless, things that cannot be done by the program are inserted as ready applications (Flash, Shockwave, Active-X etc.) and the only barrier is our imagination and, of course, our time to spend... I know this place could have been much better, but considering it as the work of a total "rookie" it could have been much worse as well!

This site is meant to be free to visit as long as it is not deleted by its free hosts. Free hosting also means connection slowdowns at peak hours but this is something we have to deal with or set a membership fee. But selling our fantasies will make them die. As soon as we have new photos and the time to put them up this site will be updated. Now it is working with a minimum of available images so be patient for the rest. Our Delphi Forum is still going to function for those who want a major discussion center, a net meeting point of people with the same interests. This site only expands our communication. I hope you like it and "support" it with your visits (there is no external advertising here, your support is giving us a good motive to run the page!)

And just for the record the first Goldenheels webpage at Delphi had some 21.500 hits by now (August 12th 2000) while the photos at the Forum, where they have been hosted till now, were viewed almost 80.000 times.
