the on going story of "OH MY GOSH"

Ok I guess you would like to know a little about how things are going with this TT.  Well today's date is July 25,2000. I have been having a ball driving this around here, the first thing I did after rebuilding it was to go to the local lumber yard and got a ton and a half of mulch in the bed . The fellow at the yard did not really think the truck would handle it but as I drove out of the yard waving, ThankYou, they just stood there and looked. the next load was more fun, I went to the local gravel pit and got a load of gravel this equaled about 2 tons , they were betting I would have to dump it before leaving the pit, but "OH MY GOSH" surprised them and just climbed slowly out of the pit and up the road, to my home. and I went back the same day for some top soil they didn't question it. just loaded me and waved good bye.
Ok, Now I have been having all sorts of fun with this truck I have been in two parades and two car shows , one I didn't bring home anything, I was in the wrong class, but the second one I brought home a first place. Now I'm Hooked.  So Here I am polishing and repainting  "oh My Gosh" and I decied to go for a ride  before loading the truck for another show in NY , as I'm driving along I hear funny noises from the engine almost like the time the magnets broke in the transmission but this noise was coming from the engine. So I slow down and take my time getting back to the garage . On arrivale here I decied to let it go till the morning but  it got to me I took the oil out and opened up the pan to find pieces of steel in the pan and along the sides, looking up into the engine from below with oil dripping into my face I saw nothing wrong, the mains all looked and felt fine, then I took the head off and fould a valve head missing and a hole in the # 2 piston.  Well now here I am , getting ready for the biggest show in the area and the engine goes on me, what can I do? I have to fix it by Saturday so I can test it out before Sunday.
So Marvin Kleinjan in Montana , offers the piston and valve I need and Ed Miller  Offeres a valve reamer So Here I am waiting for the parts and I deciede to take the engine out to make sure I have all the pieces of metal, I don't need to replace the coil again I finially got the mag working right.
So here's a few pictures of what I'm doing and I'll be posting a lot more before I'm finished this time keep reading the on going adventures of " Oh My Gosh"
