I really dig Stargate SG-1. (I wasn't too fond of MacGuyver. Know why? Tell ya - the haircut. When the show was aired over here I was a teenager and this haircut was about the most uncool thing I could think off! Not to talk about the fact my dad loved the show. Did you fancy anything your dad liked when you were a teenager? Eh.) "Cool" is such an overused expression, but well: Jack IS cool. So is the guy who breathes life into this character (well. as far as I know. I heard Charleton "gimmemygun" Heston is not too fond of RDA, if that ain't a good reason to like him I dunno). He's got issues. And he sticks his head for some things that are important to him. I don't know if he sticks his neck out FAR as in "risky far" (a "reluctant heroe"...!) but there are enough folks out there who got a face that could support some important ideas but prefer to lead a life of being nothing but decorative. So woohoo for RDA, who I usually refer to as "The Gekko Charmer" - mainly because the man could even charm a gekko, that much is sure.
Yeah, yeah, I know, the man's just another human being. And I'm not blind, I know the Richard Dean Anderson special comes with a lot of hicks and nicks, just like everybody else. But to say it with Osgood:"nobody's perfect!" Also interesting to see that, in all the time I run this site, I only got two really negative reactions. One being from an avid admirer of Teri Hatcher. Oh yes ... there are many species in gods garden ...
Now where was I - ah yes, though emphasis here is on Jack, this is about the rest of the team too, because I like them all. I got a weak spot for General Hammond and Teal'c, I admit, and liked Kawalsky ever since he (without success) tried to hunt Dr Mordrid down (of course the Jeffster escaped. What did you think! It was all thanks to THE CAPE!) and Sam - well, great lass!
I had a lot of fun doing this site, and I hope you have some laughs, too. Don't forget: smiling is the best way to show your enemies that you got teeth ...

PS: not much to say about myself. I'm one of those who laugh about Monty Python and cry about George W. Bush. Oh yeah, and most of this site was created under the influence of the album "Pablo Honey" by Radiohead (which explains just about everything.) I don't consider myself a fan, but an "afficionado". I look at the internet as a source of information and entertainment, and I managed to make some friends through this medium, but my real life is more important to me, and I still rather go out to the movies with my friends than sit in front of the screen.
