FIRST GENERATION

Glen Peters WILSON *

Glen was born on 26 November 1929 in Albion, Orleans County, New York.   His parents moved their family from western New York to California in 1934, settling first in Garden Grove, Orange County.   There, they owned and operated a store and gas station on 17th Street.   In 1937 they sold their business in Garden Grove and moved to Laguna Beach, where they also owned and operated a store and gas station on North Coast Boulevard.       In 1946 they sold their business and moved to Santa Ana.   Glen began his education attending Kindergarten in Garden Grove.   In Laguna Beach he attended grammer school, and high school through the 10th grade.   His junior and senior years were spent at Santa Ana High school.   Two days after graduating from high school he was at boot camp in San Diego in the United States Navy.   His initial enlistment was for three years but served four because of the Korean War, President Truman added one year to all enlistments.   Glen was Honorably Discharded on 13 June 1952 and three days later began employment as an Engineering Draftsman with Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.   After a few years he transferred into the Customer Service Department and began his career in Logistics.   In February 1960 he left Douglas and went to work as a Field Representative for The Marquardt Corporation in Ogden, Utah.   In February 1962 he began employment with Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in Sunnyvale, California.   In August 1982 he transferred to Austin, Texas, where he retired from Lockheed in June 1988 after 27 years and a busy career working in and supervising Logistics activities.

In 1944, while attending High School in Laguna Beach, he met Joanne LeBrun, the mother of his first child.   For two years they became very close and engaged in a serious relationship.   In October 1946 Joanne gave birth to a baby boy who was adopted by a loving family in Los Angeles.   In December 1998 Glen was reunited with his first born son, Kenneth Gerald, and a happy relationship evolved.   While still in the Navy Glen married Evelyn Kilpatrick and they had two children, Ricky Glen (stillborn), and Debra Louise.   After eight years the marriage ended bitterly.   During the interlocutory period, Glen met and later married Elois Henshaw.   They had two children, Lynn Elise and Christopher Glen.   Lynn's second marriage gave them their first grandchild, Alexandria Elise.   Since then they have welcomed a second grandchild, Jacob Alexander, from their son and his wife.

Upon retiring from Lockheed, Glen and Elois began a lifestyle of full-time RVing (traveling in a Recreation Vehicle).   They presently "winter" in South Alabama and travel during the summer months visiting their children and pursuing a mutual interest in Genealogy, each researching their own direct lines.
