THEOLOGIA CHRISTI: Bible Studies, Theology and Issues

Living a Christian life involves walking with God in all areas of our being. Many of us are familiar with the command to "Love the Lord Sometimes modern Christians have a tendency to overemphasize heart issues at the expense of the life of our minds.

J.P. Moreland in his book Love Your God with All Your Mind writes, "We must develop intelligent Christians; that is, Christians who have the mental training to see issues clearly, make important distinctions carefully, and weigh various factors appropriately. If we are not really planning on seeing this happen, then at the end of the day, what we are really saying is that a deep understanding of the Scripture, creeds, and theology of Christianity just doesn't matter that much. But... the Scriptures themselves attest to the importance of our minds in our spiritual formation in Christ."

Becoming an intelligent Christian does not necessitate receiving formal training, like Bible school or seminary although those can be wonderful avenues for developing the mind if God calls you to them. But it does involve reading the Scriptures prayerfully and learning to meditate and think carefully about issues.

The following articles provide well-reasoned treatments on a variety of important issues. You may or may not agree with all of their conclusions (I do not necessarily), but hopefully, they will inspire you to think carefully about the issues. I will continue to update these articles as issues surface.
