| So nice of you to check out my Library! This is the room I hide in, as often as possible. I would love to share some of my favourites with you. Come, sit a spell, I am sure you will enjoy... Classic Horror 1. "The Monkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs - There is no better story to read on a dark, creepy night than this wonderful tale of 3 wishes made upon a mummified monkey's paw that has been cast with a special spell. This story reminds us that we do not always want what we wish for. For the complete tale on-line, check out the following link: http://www.horrorseek.com/home/horror/dread/monkpaw.html Don't forget to push your browser's back button when you are done, to you might continue your visit the rest of my nook! 2. "Dracula" by Bram Stoker - Yes, this is an oldie, and I am sure you read it as a teenager. But relive the terror as an adult if you dare. There are few better written than this dark tale. Click on the link to read it online. 3. "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley - (Read it online) This moving story will leave you breathless. No matter that it has been around for years...if you haven't re-read this book in the past 10 years, then you are about 9 years too late! Curl up and spend a night or two with this one again. It just gets better every time! 4. "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Ray Bradbury - Yet another must-read that you might have been forced to read when you were younger and perhaps didn't enjoy or understand. I promise that you will read this with much better understanding and a few bonus chills along the way this time. |
