Coming Together
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
was formed by a grandmother who believed in the necessity
of helping others in the pursuit of raising their relative children.  It was believed that by forming an organization that would serve as an emotional as well as informational base, help could be provided to others.  This base also serves as a beneficial roadmap toward the journey of parenting the second time around.
The G.R.G. logo was designed by the founder to exemplify the caretakers and childs journey.

The oval, like the circle, is never-ending.  The color burgundy  stands for the darker times of trial and tribulations.  The pink represents the times of joy and light in our lives.

The logo symbolizes the belief,
that light always follows the darkness
and it is the only through the challenges of life
that we find our greatness.
Getting it Done
The G.R.G. organization is growing
into a recognizable entity locally as well as internationally.

Our meetings reach out to others emotionally, offering an empathetic ear and assistance with solutions.  We  have speakers to address the various issues facing our members. The topics vary from drugs to discipline; child abuse to child care; taking care of legal matters to taking care of self and more.

We have special events such as picnics; parties; tours and seminars, most include the relative children.
Looking to the Future
G.R.G. is an organization in which everybody's involvement is needed for growth and success.  While it is currently based in Aberdeen, Washington,
we look forward to the opportunity of growth
in other parts of the county and state.
As membership grows, we would like to see our logo known as the national symbol for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and find legal advisors to assist those who give so generously of themselves,  but  lack the financial resources to deal with their legal challenges.
There are many plans & ideas for the future of this organization.  We look forward to suggestions from our members and supporters.
