Seasons in the Country
with GrannyDancer

Being so in tune with the outdoors, Country folk pay close attention to weather conditions and changing seasons. Every season of the year has something special to offer to each and every one of us.

Springtime in the Country means nature's re-awakening. This season is filled with the sights and scents of blooming flowers and trees, as well as the sounds of tractors in the farmer's fields and gardens. Everyone is preparing for the season of growth and renewal. Come along with us as we celebrate our holidays of Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day; and as we enjoy the rebirth of nature's beauty!   Click here to go to my Springtime in the Country page.

During the long, sultry days of Summer, Country people are busy with their lawns, flower beds, gardens and fields. Folks are busy canning, freezing and preserving home-grown food and growing flowers for their personal enjoyment. Youngsters are getting ready to enter exhibits at the local and State Fairs. Summer for country dwellers is not a time of vacation and idleness!

And, don't leave out the "Westerners" who compete in rodeos during the Summertime, as well as raise cattle and grow crops. Click here to go to my Summertime in the Country page. Here we will celebrate Independence Day and Labor Day in the country, at the State Fair, and at some of our beaches.

Autumn in the country brings harvesting time and a time to give thanks for nature's marvelous gifts. Crisp Autumn days call to mind football and burning leaves! Help us celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving, country style. Click here to go to my Autumn in the Country page.

When the cold winds of Winter blow in my little corner of the country, we turn our thoughts to celebrations of Christmas, the New Year and Valentine's Day. We also have many winter sports to help keep us warm...from basketball and volleyball in the gymnasium, to ice skating at the local rink, to sled riding on what hills we can muster up here! Click here to go to my Winter in the Country page.
