To the year 1961. Two years after Sandy Olsen and Danny Zuko graduated from Rydell High.
A new set of students now roam the school halls and a new set of Pink Ladies, "Rule the school." Paulette Rebchuck, Rhonda Ritter, Sharon Cooper, their unofficial mascot Delores Rebchuck and their leader, the gorgeous Stephanie Zinone.
Everyone said that a sequel to the monster hit Grease couldn't be done, and creator Alan Carr set out to prove them wrong. Well, he didn't.
Critics heatedly panned the film and box office revenues were much lower than had been expected.
Many said Grease 2 would ruin the careers of it's stars, and while that proved to be true for some, others would emerge from the experience and move on to super success.
While it is true that time will remember it's predecessor with much more kindness, for a few loyal viewers, (myself included) Grease 2 is just as memorable and as beloved as the movie it tried to follow...
So take a trip down memory lane, and "Think Pink!" |
