Poetry

I'm not a schooled, expert poet... but this isn't bad...

Locked Mist Door

I'm walking through this misty world,
with my eyes I cannot see.
This mist is like a prison,
oh please someone set me free.
Then suddenly it's bright as day,
the mist did disappear.
Everything was gone,
along with my fear.
What was that thing,
that enveloped me?
To that locked mist door,
who gave me the key?
My curiosity grows,
but I may never know.

King Nothing

A tiger is a king.
He rules over the land.
He strikes down victims with a vengence.
His roar is a thunder clap of danger.
He is an enseen hunter of his realms.

Untitled

I was born,
in an unusual way.
Eighth month,
eighth day,
in 1980.
My brother
was a great friend.
I didn't have
many friends
when I was young.
I've been called.
more names than
you can think of.
When I was in
first grade, a
friend gave me
three kittens.
Two of them
died before
summer,
hit by cars.
the one that
lived was the
one kitten I
didn't like.
The number 8
shows up everywhere
in my life.
On my eighth
birthday, the year
was 1988. My
brother is eight
year older than
me. When I was
born, I weighed
8 pounds.
I've loved and
lost more than
i'd like to.
Many times
has my heart
been unanesthetically
ripped out.
I'm my girlfriend's
8th boyfriend.
With my luck,
I will probably die
when i'm 80 or 88.
Hopefully not 18.

Long

As I wander though the grass,
dreaming of a sweet kiss.
From a girl I long to see,
for her I dearly miss.
I glance at a nearby cave,
its interior made of rock.
I stroll nearby to gaze inside,
only to be startled with a shock.
I hear a distant voice,
as sweet as a song.
A voice that cannot be,
from the girl I dearly long.
It cannot be, she isn't here,
she has long since been gone.
It is impossible in her state,
she has passed on.
I hear her call to me,
from deep within the cave.
I run inside quickly,
but now I need to be saved.
I trip and fall,
and scream aloud.
My fate is sealed,
when I hit the ground.

My Blue Heaven

Blue is blueberries and bluebirds
and the sky reflecting from the morning dew.
Bluw is the taste of lollipops.
Blue bonnets and rain smell blue.
Sadness makes me feel blue.
Blue is the sound of a summer breeze.
Blue is the ocean and rivers.
Swimming is blue.
A cold artic iceberg is very blue.
Blue is refreshing.

*note: These poems were written for an English assignment, that's why they're so cheesy*

Farewell, Thy Happiness

Tis love thy weakness,
of deathly flaw.
Like a heel,
cursed by achilies.
Lonliness like a dagger,
pierce and twist thy aching heart.
Faith in love pour our like blood,
and dry on thy skin like a curse.
Yet, when I find thy love,
woes of wounds left by solitaire be healed.
All pain be replaced by love,
Without fear of recoil.
But beg of remorse,
for fear of rejection still haunts thy bones.
The number of steps with happiness,
equals a march of pain if love tis forgotten.
Sigh, I still wait for an angel's kiss,
to refill thy faith in love.
Till then, thy soul awaits,
for it's destined companion.
Tis love more happiness,
than thy heart is allowed?
If so, replace it with waiting arms,
and a shoulder to shed tears on.
Farewell, thy happiness,
till thy love comes and greets your return.
With a gentle kiss,
and bliss becomes eternal.

The Son

A Sunbeam so yearning bright,
soft and soothing as the pale-moon light.
Sheding light on darken days,
and forgiving all my sinful ways.
A hundred steps forward, on step back,
instant forgiveness for stepping off track.
Derailment from all life as it appears,
take my sins with my painful tears.
On bended knee with cross in hand,
for my loving Savior, I take a stand.
Forgetting my ways of yesterday,
and hearing what He Has to say.

Dreams

Every night I lay down to fall asleep,
into a dream, my mind begins to creep.
Away to a world of never-ending bliss,
or is it a reminder of the things I miss?
Erotic passions or vampires in flight,
dream and dream on through the dawn of the night.
Angels with wings encircling my mind,
who knows what dreams, within will find.
Heavenly beauty, more righteous than gold,
dreams revealing the things untold.
Away from the world like a lonely dove,
But it won’t unite two hearts, true love.
