Our Group is born in 1968 in the El Salvador School, maintained thanks to the contribution of the Italian congregation of Parents Barnabites, arrival to San Vicente De Tagua Tagua at the beginning of the decade of the 50, at the request of important landowners of the zone.

San Vicente, is a small city of 15 thousand habitants, located 150 kilometers to the south of Santiago, the capital of Chile.

Our group, integrated only by students and ex- students of the School, so that the herd of lobatos Waibunga (8 to 11 years), the troops of scouts Colombo (12 to 16 years) and the community of rovers Lupetahue (17 to 21), have a great identification with the institution. We have At the moment near 90 members, as our school is not mixed we only have masculine branches, but is custom of our zone, maintaining numerous activities with other groups of Guides and scouts pertaining to our association.

Words of the Old Wolf.

It was in April of 1968, that I was decided to form scouts in the School. It was already thinking it a long time ago. He noticed that in the strolls, the excursions and the Summerings in the beach some will remember Algarrobo or Tongoy), were very poor of content, and the boys did not know like " killing the time ", not to become bored. He had already occupied to me of the scouts in our school of the La Serena, in year 64 ', totemizaron to me there like " Ferocious Wolf ". I liked the experience, and she saw entertainment very it to educate the youth that looks for existential values. I widened my knowledge with Literature scout. Soon, I talked with Carlos Montero, totemizado later like " Eye of Aguila ", that had been my student and was, in that time, teach in preparatory.To him also it liked the idea, and we began the work after publishing in the corridors of the school, a proclamation that said thus: " Those that aspire to being scouts, reúnanse in afternoon of Thursday 29 of April in the corner of the Llorón ".- they had to guess that that Llorón (cry) was a great willow located in a corner of the field and finished the proclamation saying: " enters with desire the great game of the scouts".

Thus Grupo Scout was born San Jorge; and to the few weeks, those boys of the willow llorón were distributed in 4 patrols: Crows, Squirrels, Buhos and Coyotes. We immediately took contact with the then " Federation from scouts Catholic of Chile", the Catholic branch of the Creole scouts. In 1974 I subscribed the document-propose one of unification of the scouts in Chile to give origin to the present Association of Guías and Scouts of Chile. How not to remember the first heads of Patrol: Rolo, Galaz, Claudio, Moraga?... How not to remember the Campings School, - that still subsist in our group in Las Peñas, La Rufina, Popeta; and when we began to have the rovers, how not to remember the famous excursions - retirement to Llico, Navidad, and the routes in the Lupetto by the central coast until Maitencillo, occasion in which cut potatoes in the luxurious beach of Reñaca to pass pain; I will be able to say to them them kilometers of seams that I have crossed to provide those solid carps to them in which you they are brilliant. Of happening of the years, the Group took control great, and the camping equipment also. In the Jamboree of Panguipulli we appeared in the cover of the Austral Newspaper like the troops better equipped. We participated in almost all the events. In the Jamborees of Quebrada de Macul 76 ', Peñuelas 82 ', Panguipulli 86 ', the Austral of Villarrica in 1989, Los Lagos 92, Colombo(Porto Alegre, Brazil) 1993 and Parral 96 '. The rovers also was in all the national encounter; Cuyahuentrus, Lautaro, Isla Teja, Polincay, etc.

Wanted Scouts of yesterday and great today, boys and: hopefully that remembering our magnificent adventure, more than to celebrate it we feel it like special part of our lives because we have a Promise, done in our Honor, To fulfill the Law Scout ".  That " Always Ready ", that we shouted with desire, always has arranged to give a hand to us, an advice, a glance, a smile... in short, the scoutism does not become..., is lived through the service to the others.
