The OverHeating Adventure, 12 noon, DownTown.
So i must say that its been awhile.. Make no mistake! Its not that ive waited on purpose, but rather that this software here at "duh globe" which we use to edit our files really stinks, and is a pain to use.. and well things that are pain are not worth using that often.. i think so anyway.
The spleen is getting along fine.. if not aged.. the over heating adventure was one not to forget.. It all happened because i had wanted to attend a "BAGIN BIN SALE" at the local cattle castle..(large warehouse.. they used to sell cattle here which is why it has the name that it does) and well as we merged on the freeway we soon missed the exit.. and so i thought i'll "cut" across town.. haha ya right! ..12 noon.. downtown.. but hey! i was optimistic..
We made it to bank street.. the temp needle slowly swoaring to the orange line.. crossed a intersection.. traffic crawling.. needle moving.. higher.. im now getting worried.. traffic crawles again.. the needle is now in the "orange zone" which means if i dont get a burst of traffic soon im headed for trouble... i dont.. the needle swoars till it cant any more.. and PFFTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!
White smoke and Green Urine cover Bank Street.. I immediately kill the motor jump out and begin to push.. Jim along with my brother do the same.. after some persuasion by my friend (and after hitting a car) i get back in the car and steer the beast while my brother and Jim push it to safety about 400 meters onto another street..
We pushed it to a parking meter and put in 50 cents.. we have 30 mintues.. i call work and say im going to be late.. (its getting close to one and i start 2:30) i go into a police community center.. and ask for a tow truck service they reccommend.. i call 'em up and wait.. wait.. wait.. wait. and oh here it is.. the car is towed and im off to catch the bus.. (tow truck driver says he can only take one of us.. so i shuffle my brother off in the cab.. while my friend and i take the bus..)..
Things seems to work out.. by the time i got to work (where i towed it) it was already about done.. i got the mechanic to "hot wire" the fan so its always on, (the reason i over heated in the 1st place) so now the car runs cool.. and i dont have to worry about it over heating.. which is good. I soon learned afterwards that the tow company the police recommended has a contract with them.. which would explain their slighty *higher* cost of towing..
